*Shelby's P.O.V*

It was currently nighttime and I was just in the process of getting ready for bed. Alden is going to be with me but he has to finish some work real quick and then he'll be right up.

I was just finishing up a glass of water when I heard a noise from outside of Hilltop. Then right after that, noises from people.

I looked out the window and saw what was happening. A tree had fallen down.

What the hell? How did that happen?

With so much adrenaline, I walked out of my room and went outside to see people around each other, wondering the same thing about what was happening. I went over to the group.

There was noise coming from everyone.

"Oh, my God!" Luke said as I walked up to the group.

"There's people in there, man." Someone said.

"It's our people." Jerry then said.

People started moving forward but then that was when Alden came up to everyone, stopping them.

"Hey, stop! Stop! Everyone, get back. The structure might not hold." Alden said.

I was looking at him and then at everyone else who had shocked looks on their faces.

"Alden's right. Too many of us jostling around in there could bring the whole thing down on their heads." Earl said.

"You guys, get the horses out of there." Alden told some people and they went to do as they were told.

"Go to the infirmary. Get Alex." Yumiko instructed Marco.

I then saw Connie do some kind of sign language that I couldn't completely understand but Luke was able to.

"What? You think it was them?" Luke asked.

They must be talking about the whisperers.

"It was them?" Earl questioned. "Of course, it was."

"They already cut off our hunting grounds." Alden said walking back to the group. "Cause we crossed their boundary to put out a damn forest fire?"

"We're already at war. We just didn't know it yet." Earl said.

"Nine are injured. Roof collapsed. Half are trapped under it." Someone said as Jerry and some other people came carrying some of the injured people.

"It's gonna take a hell of a long time to get them all out." Jerry said.

"What do you wanna do, boss?" Jerry then asked Ezekiel.

"Come on. Let's meet at the house-" Jerry started to say but he was cut off.

"No. No, no. I'm fine. Don't worry about me. They need help." Ezekiel said.

I can tell that something was actually wrong with King Ezekiel. But he isn't saying anything about it.

"You said nine were injured?" someone asked.

"Yeah." Diane said.

"The infirmary's only got beds enough for four, maybe five." Another person said.

"We could empty out a couple trailers." Magna then said.

"We can use Maggie's old office." Yumiko said. "Marco, Connie, Kelly, grab anything we can use as stretchers, and gather mattresses from the bedrooms, yeah?"

"Hey, stop. Two at a time." Alden said as he was telling some people who were helping the people who were injured.

When people went to do tasks, I heard from the sides the sounds of walkers. Alden was also looking in the same direction as I was. Then I walked over to him and he instantly saw me.
