Chapter 36

*Shelby's P.O.V*

I was currently in an underground area with a group. The group consisted of Daryl, Jerry, Carol, Maggie, Rosita, Elijah, Magna, Kelly, Lydia, Alden, and myself.

Daryl, Alden, and Jerry were at the top with Elijah while I was with Carol, Maggie, Rosita, Kelly, Magna, and Lydia. This is a place that we had found that we could go and gather food.

Yeah, we are still having problems with food. We still don't have enough since the last time you saw us.

And I also don't have that long of hair anymore either. I got a haircut and my hair goes a little bit past my shoulders and I have some blonde highlights in my hair as well.

Somehow the hair dye was still able to work in a zombie apocalypse.

There were walkers on the ground where the girls and I were standing but they weren't moving but I don't think they were one hundred percent dead either. The floor was covered in walkers.

The girls and I were bringing food and letting the guys pull it up.

We were also stepping carefully over the walkers so that there weren't any noises happening.

I stood near Lydia as some of the girls had gone to get the food.

As we were attaching the bag of food to the rope so that the guys can pull the food up, Alden's rope ends up breaking but Daryl was able to save the bag. But then a drop of his blood got on one of the walkers and then suddenly the walkers were alive.

Oh great. It's time to fight.

My favorite time ever. To just fight walkers.

I immediately took out my knife and started stabbing walkers in the head one by one, joining the rest of the girls who were starting to use their weapons.

Daryl, Jerry, and Alden started taking their weapons out too and going to help us out.

Walkers kept coming and I kept stabbing them in the head.

One of the walkers seemed to have gotten close to me without me even realizing it but then it was shot in the head with an arrow. I looked up to see Alden looking at me already. He gave me a nod and continued fighting.

I saw Maggie take out two guns from a bag. She came over to me and gave me one of them.

I never used a gun before so it'll be interesting.

I made sure that bullets were in there and then started shooting. I was getting the hang of this quickly.

One by one, the walkers had gone down.

But then soon after, I ran out of bullets. Well shit.

Carol started using a gun and I just stopped and started using my knife again.

After I killed a bunch of walkers, I went to where the ropes were and attached it to me so that the guys could pull me back up.

I was up in no time and I was standing behind Alden the whole time while Carol was still down there.

Carol was making sure that we had food so she was gathering more so that we could  take it back to Alexandria.

And now that everyone was safe, it was time to head back to Alexandria.

We got to Alexandria where my brother was standing at the front of it  and I saw Judith and RJ run up to Daryl, giving him a hug.

I smiled and went with Alden as we went to take a seat on the bench that was near our house.

"Are you alright?" Alden asked me.
