*Shelby's P.O.V*

It was the next day and I was heading to Alexandria. My brother stayed overnight so I will be going with him.

We were just setting up and people around us were going to bid us goodbye until we came back. Or at least, I came back. Since I live here at Hilltop and my brother doesn't.

"Are you all set?" My brother asked me and I nodded.

"All ready to go."

We got on our horses that we were going to be riding and then said goodbye to everyone.

Alden was standing next to Earl as everyone else had crowded around. Meaning Ezekiel, Jerry, Yumiko, Magna, Luke, Kelly, and Connie. With a final wave, we were off and we went past the gates.

I would've looked back to see Alden one last time before we Ieft but I was scared thinking that maybe he was looking so I didn't.

"Michonne and Daryl left a bit earlier than us." My brother looked at me. "They should be there already."

"I won't be surprised."

When I was done babysitting Adam yesterday, I had to walk towards where Earl was, which was next to Alden, and then give him back his son. I tried to stay as calm as I can so that I won't freak out or anything. When in reality, I wouldn't freak out at all.

I just keep thinking that I will.

"Alden is still on your mind?" My brother asked me.

How do I even answer him? It seems like I'm back in high school and one of my relatives wants to know everything that's happening.

"When is he not on my mind?" I questioned.

"You know, you shouldn't be afraid to talk to him."

"I never said I was." I eyed him.

He stopped his horse and that ultimately made me stop mine too. "You're the one who keeps saying that you wish you could talk to him more."

I sighed. "I know how to walk up to him."

"That's easy because you two babysit Adam when Earl is working. What about when Alden's not working? Would you ever walk up to him then?" He asked.

I didn't say anything. I pulled the reins on the horse and then we were off again. I'm sure my answer gave my brother what he already knew. But I just didn't like to admit it.

I'm always a bit nervous but would I ever tell someone that? No.

We made it to Alexandria in no time. By horse, the trip is much faster.

The gate was opened and we immediately halted. Gracie ran up to Aaron right away.

"Hi daddy." Gracie said as she gave my brother a hug and that put a smile on my face.

"Hey Gracie." He hugged her back before she came over to me and gave me a hug, in which I did hug her back.

"Hi Shelby." She smiled.

"Hey, how's my favorite niece doing?" I asked her.

"I'm good." She said, "You wanna come and play?"

"I would love to play. Show me the way."

She led me to her and my brother's house and we went inside to the living room. Inside, my brother had license plates on the wall. A nice reminder to our other brother but he died when the zombie apocalypse started.

There's a whole nother story to that and I'll share that story someday.

"Look at this picture that I drew of dad and I." She said as in the picture there were indeed two people which would be her and Aaron.
