Scarlett's POV -

I looked over and saw Chris fast asleep, attempting to get comfortable on the leather chair. I assumed he was the only one until I heard faint snores from the back. Everyone was so drained after the war that happened back at the airport that I moved to the side and noticed Lizzie and Y/n asleep on each other's shoulders. I noticed everyone shivering due to the sudden temperature around the jet. I put the jet on autopilot, got out of my seat, and looked around for blankets. I searched the top cupboard and discovered six large, fluffy black blankets neatly folded up. I grabbed two, knowing they were large enough for Lizzie and Y/n to split. I placed one on top of Evans, watching him move from his position and become more comfortable. I kissed him on the head, walked over, and laid the remaining blanket on Lizzie and Y/n. As I placed it on top, I watched Y/n slightly move closer to Lizzie, placing her head in her neck as Lizzie wrapped her arm securely around Y/n's waist. I crouched down to Y/n's level, pulling a small strand of hair away from her face and noticing a small smile appear on her face. Obviously, she is thinking about positive things. To be honest, she has come a long way. When we first met her, she was quite hesitant and bottled up her emotions about her life, afraid to be herself in front of us. We all understood she needed time to speak up about how she coped with living alone for years without her parents. No child should ever grow up without a family supporting her. I still recall when she eventually told us everything. It was the most painful day I can recall.

FlashBack: Third Pov

Scarlett, Lizzie, Chris, and Rdj plan to travel to Australia to see Y/n, as they always do, but this time only the four of them went over. They all organised to go get lunch together. Naturally, Y/n agreed to participate. James parked in front of Y/n's house and waited for her to make her way out. After a few minutes, the door swung open, and Y/n got inside the car, strangely silent. James was aware of Y/n's habit of being silent, but this time felt different.

James: "Are you ready to get going, Miss Y/l/n?"

Y/n: "Actually, James, change of plans, do you mind dropping me off at the graveyard today?"

James: "Uh, sure. Would you like me to notify the others?"

Y/n: "No, it's fine. If they ask, just say that I got a bit of a head cold."

James: "Yeah, uh, sure thing."

The car soon became quiet again as James rushed off to the destination, driving through the graveyard gates. Y/n sprang up, telling him she was capable of walking the remainder of the way.

James: "So what time shall I pick you up, Miss Y/l/n?"

Y/n: "Uh, there's no need; I'll find my own way home, but thanks for the suggestion."

James: "Of course, anytime. Have a lovely afternoon, Miss. Y/l/n."

She only gave a small nod as the car slowly exited the area. Y/n adjusted her backpack on her shoulders and moved over to the pathway; she had always recognised this well-known trail, and it brought tears to her eyes. As she went closer to the two headstones, she zipped open her bag and placed two white roses on each one. She crouched down, removing old fallen leaves from the area, throwing them to the side, attempting to tidy it as much as possible.

Y/n: "Hey, Mum... Hey Dad, sorry for not showing up as much, but I can't believe you've both been gone for three years. I miss you both more than I can imagine."

Tears streamed down her face, and no matter how hard she tried to wipe them away, more appeared. She gave up instantaneously, releasing all of her pain for the two people she loved with all her heart. The feeling of loneliness only increased her suffering, so she sat down on the grass, her bag alongside her.
