Cousins at odds

Diana and Steffy are in Brooke's house.

Diana: You came to see me?

Steffy: I know that you must be surprised... I wasn't very welcoming.

Diana: I did something wrong?

Steffy: No... Not at all. 

Diana: What do you want to tell me Steffy?

Steffy: I want to apologize.

Diana: Really?

Steffy: Yeah...

Diana: What has changed?

Steffy: I knew that what I was doing is wrong from the very start, but Sheila is probably my least favorite person in the world.

Diana: She is not my favorite too.

Steffy: I had to realize that you are not her. I should never blame you.

Diana: Thank you.

Diana hugs Steffy.

Next scene: It's next day. Brooke, Ridge and Hope are talking at FC.

Hope: Really? Steffy apologized to Diana?

Ridge: She did.

Brooke: Diana was so happy.

Ridge: And so was my dad.

Hope: That's great. Diana seems like a lovely girl.

Brooke: She really is.

Ridge: She is my sister and she also is in pain right now... Her only parent is going to die soon and she is so young... 

Hope: Sheila is no mother to her.

Ridge: She's not. She is no mother to neither of her kids. 

Brooke: Poor kids...

Ridge: I promised Massimo that I will protect Diana... I intend to keep the promise.

Steffy walks in.

Steffy: Hi everyone.

Brooke: Hi Steffy, I want to say that I am proud of you.

Steffy: For what? 

Brooke: You found a way to accept Diana into the family.

Steffy: I did, but I will also have my eye on her.

Ridge shakes his head. 

Hope: Steffy... We were supposed to discuss Hope for the Future today...

Steffy: Oh yes... Let's finally do it. Come with me to my office.

Hope and Steffy leave.

Brooke: Ridge, are you ok?

Ridge: Yes... I am glad that Steffy at least wants to try... I just wish that Diana wouldn't be Sheila's daughter. That would make everything way easier. 

Next scene: Jack is in his studio studying.

Sally: What are you reading?

Jack: My grandpa's instructions. I will have to learn how to run his company.

Sally: That's a lot of pressure.

Jack: Yeah... I want to learn before... You know. I don't want him to die worried.

Sally: You are wonderful.

Jack: You think so?

Sally: I sure do... You know what? I need to go to work now, but we will talk when I will be back.
