It's a new day in LA. Hope and Liam are relaxing at their home. Hugging on the couch.

Hope: Do you want to swim in the pool?

Liam: Sure. I would love to, but first... We need to talk.

Hope: About?

Liam and Hope change position and sit.

Liam: I was thinking about it a lot... 

Hope: About what?

Liam: I was thinking we could take Kelly and Beth for a holiday and give Steffy and Finn some time alone.

Hope: Oh... Yeah that sounds great. 

Liam: Steffy was complaining that she's so tired the last time I saw her. 

Hope: She looks tired when I see her at work, but Liam... I don't think she is tired of taking care of Kelly. She and Finn have other problems.

Liam: What problems?

Hope: Brittany. Finn's ex... Thorne's daughter.

Liam: Yeah I know which one. How is she a problem?

Hope: Well apparently she isn't over Finn... It makes Steffy kind of worried. 

Liam: I thought they are on good terms. Steffy didn't tell me a word about it. 

Hope: So before you decide to take Kelly anywhere... Ask Steffy if this is what she wants, ok? Don't book any hotels and flights before that.

Liam: Of course.

Brooke enters Hope's and Liam's home.

Brooke: Hey! The door was open.

Hope: Oh... I probably forgot to close them. How are you mom?

Brooke: I'm good. How are the two of you?

Liam: Just resting after a long week. 

Brooke: Sounds nice. Hey Hope, do you want to visit Rick with me?

Hope: I would love to, but he said that I can't come... I spoke to Rick on the phone.

Brooke: He told you that you can't come?

Liam: Yeah, he told Hope that nobody can visit him. I remember.

Brooke: Nobody?

Hope: You told him that you are going to see him today?

Brooke: I... No. I wanted to surprise him. Is he really that ill?

Next scene: Diana is in bed in lingerie and Rick walks out of the shower still a bit wet. 

Diana: My, my, my... I might want to remove the towel.

Rick: Maybe in an hour. I need to regain my powers.

Diana laughs.

Rick: This was a really good plan. Your family thinks that you are out of town while I am here in the guest house... Sick.

Diana: We are not nice people. You know that?

Rick: I choose to look at it differently. We are forced to lie. 

Diana: In a way... Yes. I want to explore this thing between us in peace.

Rick: Peace that Ridge and the others won't give us. You know it. 

Diana stood up from bed and walked closer to Rick.

Diana: Rick... Do you like me? 

Rick looks at her up and down and smiles.
