Chapter 44

HAVENS POV
When we got to the top of the stairs I was astonished. The whole room had been decorated with flowers and balloons. Everyone was downstairs waiting. When we walked downstairs and turned the corner everyone screamed "HAPPY BIRTHDAY HAVEN" and I jumped. They were all standing around a cake and began singing happy birthday while Sammy pulled me over behind the cake. Once I blew out the candles everyone went outside to the backyard. There was a small stage set up and a DG table beside it. Everyone was talking and dancing while Taylor was playing music from the DG table with Mahogany. I pulled Sammy over to Chandler and hugged him before we talked for a second. Chandler told
Me about filming and his plans. Dylan (o'brien) came up to say hi and we talked to him for a bit to until Taylor began talking in the microphone,
"Hey guys so we're gonna have so live music here because I know some people here sing" he said before stepping back and making room for Shawn to walk up on stage with him guitar,
"Haven, what do you want me to sing" Shawn asked through the microphone.
"Stiches" I yelled and he laughed before he began singing,
As he was singing, I felt someone come up and hug me, which surprised me. I looked up to see Nate.
"Nate!" I said excitedly as I began talking to him.
Once shawn finished singing, i convinced Nate, and the Jacks to sing 'like that'.
After they were done singing I walked up and talked to Taylor,
He agreed to let me sing a song I requested and I walked towards the microphone,
Everyone looked confused as to what I would sing and ricky looked at me,
"What are you gonna sing" he mouthed. I just looked at him and smiled. Taylor began the music and I started singing,
"Let me tell Ya bout 6 young fellas that really know how to get down" I began and Ricky began laughing. Once I got to the end of the song, everyone was singing alone and dancing. After I sang I called Sammy up on stage and we sang "No control" and "Illusion" by one direction. Later Jacob sang "words" and I told him that it was the sweetest song ever written. After a while, Matt called me over to open presents,
I opened all of the presents and thanked everyone then Sammy handed me a small box,
"Better not be a ring" Matt said.
"Not yet" Sammy said smiling. I unwrapped the wrapping paper until it was just a box. I lifted open the box to see cheap earrings from h&m.
"Thank you Sammy!" I said hugging him trying to sound happy.
"Looks under the earrings" he whispered. I lifted up the earrings to see a note....I read it while everyone was distracted talking,
It said,
"12:00 same as last night, star date😊" I looked up and smiled after reading it. "What are you looking at" Matt asked.
"Oh just the earrings, there so beautiful" I said smiling. We all ate pizza and I had a couple people come up to me to talk. There were so many people and I knew who all of them were, I just hadn't met all of them before. I talked to Troye (sivan) and he was really nice. After a while, people started heading home and before long it was just me and the guys (and girls) who live in the house. All of the guys who don't live with us but are still great friends and we went on tour with like Carter visited for the party but stayed in hotels since we already had enough people living there. Hayes was staying at our house since Nash lives there but he tried his best to stay away a bit. Nash and Ryann have been handling the news very well and they are excited. They are both 17 so they are getting married on the week after they both turn 18. Nash really does care about making her happy. He doesn't want this to mess up her dream wedding or anything from her life now other than having to care for a kid. I talked to the O2L guys until they had to leave. They are all really sweet. They were the last ones so we all went to bed after they left. I set my alarm for 11:50. I fell asleep but woke up a couple minutes before my alarm was supposed to go off so I turned it off. I quietly stood up trying not to wake Mahogany since she was only a couple feet away on the other side of the room. I put on some Galaxy knee socks and touched up my make up a little. Some people would think that it is stupid to touch up my make up at 12:00 just to go downstairs and see my boyfriend but when I've been sleeping I look BAD when I wake up. Once I looked presentable I slowly opened the door,
"Haven?" Mahogany asked.
"Oh shoot. Yeah, Mahogany?" I said.
"What are you doing" she asked sleepily.
"Nothing it's fine" I answered.
"Better be nothing. Don't do anything stupid or I'll be mad" she said before falling back asleep. I walked quietly down the stairs and out the backdoor. Sammy was sitting on the ground in almost the same exact spot as the night before. He stood up when he noticed me and kissed me before we both sat down. He wrapped his arm around me and we both lay down In the grass looking up at the sky. He began talking,
"Haven? You know I love you, right" he asked.
"Oh god. Your not breaking up with me right" I asked.
"No of course not, never" he said.
"Well yeah, do you know I love you" I asked.
"Yeah" he said smiling.
"Well I don't want to scare you or anything but-" he pulled out a small box.
"Sammy-" I began.
"It isn't an engagement ring, don't worry" he said laughing.
"This is the real box" he said as he held it out for me to see. He opened it to reveal a ring. He took the ring out of the box,
"It's a promise ring, I thought I would give it to you on your birthday and I thought I'd do it hear so everyone around us didn't freak out" he explained.
He put the ring on my finger. I looked up astonished, it really was a beautiful ring.
"Sammy....it...it's perfect" I said looking up smiling.
"It sounds cheesy but Jacob was singing the words song and that's exactly how I feel. I just don't know how to tell you or how to say it" he said.
"Try, try to explain it" I said.
"It's like, I've had girlfriends and crushes and friends who I would say I 'loved' but then when I started being around you and dating you I realized that I really DO love you. Your different then anyone else I've ever been with and I don't ever second guess weather your 'the one' because I honestly know that you are. I would never do anything to mess that up and that will never change. I know that we're young but I know that I want to be with you" he finished.
"When 2 people both know that the other one is 'the one' then i believe that they are meant to be together. I do love you, I do want to be with you, and you are 'the one' you're the only one. The only reason that people who love each other ever don't end up together is if they both have the same feelings for each other but are to nervous to tell each other. And you know what, we just told each other so I know we will be together. I love you Sammy" I said happily.
"I know" he said hugging me.
"This is totally off topic but tomorrow, Jack is taking me back to the hospital for an appointment to take off my cast and there gonna check on my side. Will you come?" I asked.
"Yeah of course" he said.
"Sammy? You know I love doing this where we come out and look at the sky. It sounds boring to just talk but I like
Just talking to you" I said smiling.
"Yeah. You know since Nate came to your party he's gonna come and hang out with Jack, Gilinsky, you, and I. But we don't know when he's coming, he's just gonna come wherever we are when he's ready" he explained.
"I'm tired" I said.
"We can go back in now" he said standing up and grabbing my hand to help me up. We silently opened the backdoor and walked through the kitchen.
