Chapter 39

May's POV

The sun was about to set. Matt and I sat down on a giant rock. We waited for the setting sun. While we waited, my phone rang. Hayes's name popped up. He texted me.

From:Haaas✌️🐷
May,where are you? Was planning to go to the park with you. Reply me ASAP😚❤️

The emojis scared me.

To:Haaas✌️🐷
I'm at the beach with Matt. Probably some other time? What's up with the emoji?😂

I sent the text message and closed my phone. "Who's that?" Matt asked. "Hayes". He nodded. "The sun's setting" he said. "Perfect" and I took out my phone and took a few pictures. "What's that for?" He laughed. "Tumblr pictures" I said.

"Since when you've became tumblr?" He laughed. I punched him on his shoulder and he pretended he was hurt. "Owwwwww!" He said and pretended to cry. "Yeah right" I said and rolled my eyeballs. "But it hurts" he said. I giggled and kissed him on the cheek. "Now can you stop babying around?" I looked at him.

The corner of his mouth turned into a cheeky smile. "Why the cheeks? I want you to kiss me here" He pointed his lips. I rolled my eyeballs. "No" I said ,joking around. "Oh" He said frowning. I laughed and cupped his face and kissed his lips.

We moved in sync. I missed his soft lips on mine. My stomach knotted and full of butterflies. I moved my hand on his neck and brushed my hand through his long hair. His hands slowly going down to my waist. He bit my lip and I smiled. I pulled back from the kiss. Matt looked at my lips,thinking to attack but he didn't.

I looked into his beautiful brown eyes and he looked into mine. I bit my lip ,smiling. "Tell me you miss that" He said. "I do" I told him. He smiled like an idiot. I was blushing like crazy. The sun has setted. "You guys are so cute together" said an elderly woman and smiled. Both of our cheeks flushed bright red.

"Thank you" Matt said and the elderly woman walked away. "Hear that?" Matt said. I nodded my head and said "We are cute". Matt laughed and engulfed me into a hug. A warm and loving one.

"Let's go home" he said. I nodded my head and pulled away from the hug. Both of us stood up and pennyboarded back home.

"Come on" I said and picked up my penny board. "Okay, calm down" He said and picked up his. I opened the door and went inside, followed by Matt. My parents aren't home so I made dinner. Matt needed the bathroom so he went. I decided we should make some spaghetti. I got out the ingredients needed. I filled in a pot with water and placed it on the stove. While that was boiling, I got the ingredients for the sauce ready.

Matt camed down to the kitchen and saw me making dinner. He took a box of spaghetti noodles and opened it and poured it into the boiling water. I stared at him,smiling. After about 20-25 minutes, the sauce was ready. I had the cooked spaghetti noodles in another bowl. Matt poured the spaghetti sauce into a separate bowl.

I took out two plates and took some of spaghetti noodles on both of the plates and poured some sauce on top. Matt took some utensils and I served them on the bar. We both digged in our meal. "I never knew you know how to cook,Matt" I said. "I know a thing or two" he said with his mouth full. "Close your mouth silly" I said.

I took some napkins and wiped his mouth. He made silly faces when I tried to wipe off the sauce on his face. We continued eating and washed the dishes. "Matt,I'm going to take a shower" I said and he replied with a thumbs up.

I took a towel and head over tothe shower. I removed my makeup and hopped into the shower. After a 30 minute shower, I got dressed. It was a faded tanktop and comfy shorts. I headed downstairs to see Matt on the couch on his phone.

"When are your parents gonna be home?" He asked. "Why?" I asked. "My mom said I can stay over if only your parents let me" He said in a sad tone. "Plus your dad kinda hates me" he continued.

I pulled him up to my room. "Where are we going?" He said while climbing up the stairs. "My room" I said. "We're not going to..." "No silly" I said. Both of us went into my room and I sunk into my bed. Matt just stood there,staring at me with a confused look. "I want to cuddle" I said.

He laughed and opened his shirt and got under the sheets. "But wait a sec" I said and went downstairs to the kitchen. I took the leftover spaghetti and placed them into the fridge and turned off the lights. I raced back up and locked my bedroom door. "Scoot a little" I said and Matt scooted.

I got under the bed sheets and faced Matt. "I love you so much" He said. "Impossible. I love you even more" I said. I placed my hands on his back and his on my waist. He pulled me closer making my face on his shirtless chest. He kissed my forehead and said "I love you". I smiled and both of us drifted to sleep.
