Chapter 9

may's pov

*rings*

finally,it was lunch time. i headed to the cafeteria and sat my usual table.

"hey May, sorry I didnt bought your taco bell, I forgot" hayes said as he settles down on the chair.

"what?" i said,surprised.

"sorry"

i grunted and rolled my eyeballs. i mean, i was very hungry plus the cafeteria food is disgusting.

"hey" matt said as he handed me a brown paper bag.

"whats this?" i smiled.

"food,i went home and made you a turkey sandwich" he smiled as he sits down beside me.

"so you mean you skipped class because you want to make me a turkey sandwich?" i raised an eyebrow.

he simply nodded and a cheeky smile plastered on his face.

"matt you can't do that" i said.

"for you,anything" he smirked.

hayes just sat there awkwardly and began picking his salad. he cleared his throat and began smiling awkwardly.

matt chuckled and slightly pinched my cheeks.

"i love your cheeks" he laughed.

"stop" i said,swatting away his hands.

he laughed and pinched slightly harder.

"matt stop oww" i said.

he laughed once again and let go.

I rubbed my sore cheeks and gave him a stare.

he laughed and said,"you should eat your sandwich you know, the bell's gonna ring soon."

i nodded and began unwrapping the sandwich.

i took a bite and tasted heaven.

it was amazing.

"i didn't know you can cook" i smirked.

"yeah me too" he said as he took a bite of his.

"excuse me i need to go to the toilet" hayes said and made his way to the bathroom.

"is he your friend?" matt asked.

"best friend,more like a brother" i smiled.

"oh okay."

"why?"

"nothing, he seems that he likes you" matt stated without making eye contact with me.

hayes? likes me? for the love of god.

"we're best friends matt. no need to worry." i smiled.

he faked smiled and looked down.

"i love you,just you"

"are you lying?"

"why would i be?" i laughed.

he just smiled and giggled. he engulfed me into a hug and we resumed eating lunch.

the bell rang,classess resumed and Hayes just got back from the toilet.

"see you after school" hayes said as he grabbed his backpack and made his way to class.

I grabbed all of my stuff and matt walked me to literature.

"bye princess" he winked as he kissed my cheek.

"bye" i said and hugged him and he headed off to his classess.
