Chapter 31

May's POV

I saw Matthew with another girl , in his boxers. My whole world stopped. My heart froze. My body couldn't move. I could hear my heart shattered , breaking into small pieces then vanishing. My eyes getting watery by the minute. I couldn't say anything. I was numb. I bit my lip , trying not to burst out crying but failed. I ran. I ran home. I heard Hayes saying something but I just blocked everything.I ran crying in my heels. Just leaving the whole scene.

Why am I so stupid?

Hayes's POV

When May ran home crying , I couldn't chase after her. I thought she needed time alone to herself. I screamed at her , begging her not to go but she didn't listen. I saw her running down the street. My hands now between my hair. My attention was now at Matt. I punched the car window which made it broke. The girl Matt was having sex with screamed. Matt got out of the car and yelled at me. "What the fuck Hayes?!" He screamed. "You. What the fuck Matthew?! WHAT THE HELL WERE YOU DOING?!" He stayed quiet. "You know what? Fuck it. Go resume your sex with that slut there" i said pointing at her. She looked so scared yet pissed at the same time.

Who's the girl?

Lilly.

"Go resume your sex , while I'll go chase your girlfrie-" i paused. "I mean your EX girlfriend" i continued. Matt's face was ashamed but I didn't care. I ran after May but before I did that , I punched Matthew in the face which made his nose bleed. After that I chased after May.

May's POV
I was about 2 more miles to home. I was running for 3 miles amd it took me about 10 minutes. I'm tired of running so I just walked. Hayes didn't ran after me. If he did , he'll be here right now. But he isn't. I walked bare foot with my heels in one hand and the other one on my opposite waist. Tears streaming down my face. My makeup all ruined. Then it started to rain , heavily. "Oh great" i whispered under my breath. Now my hair is messy and wet. My nose sniffling from crying and the freezing cold rain. It was 3.30am in the morning and I'm really scared. But the street lights were on so it didn't really bother me.

My mind was racing with thoughts and scary images. I sighed and continued my walk home. "MAY!?" I heard someone scream.

Who could that be?

I paused and turned around.
Hayes.
The only person i want to see so badly.
He runned up to me and hugged me tight. I sobbed on his chest , smudging my makeup all over his shirt. The next thing I know , he carried my bridal style. My head tucked to Hayes's chest. My arms around his neck while my heels are on my hand still.

Is he seriously going to carry me 2 miles home?

"Hayes..." "Yeah May?" He said not taking his eye off of the sidewalk. "Pit me down" i demanded. "And why should I?" He said looking at me while walking slowly. "2 reasons. 1. I'm fat and 2. It's 2 miles home" i said. "Im pregnant" he said. My eyes widen. "What?" I said confused. "Oh I'm sorry I thought we were stating things that are not true" he said smiling at me. I couldn't help but blush. Then I fell asleep.

Hayes's POV (I'm so sorry for changing the POV's alot)

May fell asleep in my arms. I couldn't help but stare at her. Beautiful girl. By the time i was staring at her the whole time , we finally made it to her house. I rang the bell , hoping her mother is here. And she is. "Yes- Oh my lord what happened?" She asked looking at sleeping May. "Long story" i said. "Oh my wait here" she said and she came back with two towels. I shook Mat gently by moving my body left and right. "May wake up" i said. She opened her eyes and rubbed her eyes. I placed her down and wrapped a towel around her. "Hayes dear you should sleep here since it's raining heavily outside" her mom said. I smiled and thanked her and May went into the shower while I went into the guest's room shower.

After all that i changed into a hoodie and some khakis shorts i left at May's house. I always sleep here so yeah. Someone knocked on the door. "Come in" i said and there's May. "Hayes? Can you sleep with me?" She asked sl sweetly. I smiled and nodded. "I'll ask your mom for an air mattress" i said. "No. Sleep with me" she said. I smiled and went to her room with her. She got in the covers and me beside her. She placed her hand around my neck and i placed my hands on her waist. I then hugged her. Her hands at my back and mine at hers.

She then fell asleep. I kissed her forehead and whispered in her ear "I love you" i said which made her crack a smile.

I guess everyone falls for his bestfriend.
