He's been gone since the other day and I thought he'll be off to just somewhere here but he didn't come back. If ever you met him, please let me know.
I wasn't able to block him. Wala akong ideya kung saan niya nakuha ang number ko but the fact that I didn't change my phone number, it isn't impossible.
He's holding a glass of water.
He pressed his lips and swallowed hard. Napatayo siya para magpaliwanag. "Moren, how am I supposed to live there when you're here? "
"Tell me that all you want is for me to stay with you."
Mariin akong napapikit. I held onto the chair beside me for support.
"Then what? Live the life they want for me?"
"Oo. Pagkatapos no'n ano?"
He stared intently at me, tila nasasaktan sa talim ng mga salitang binibitawan ko.
"I know my father's plan. Gagawin niya 'kong manika, Moren. Pag-aaralin niya ako, oo. But he'll do that for his own benefit. He'll use me for his business in the future. Is that the 'best' you're talking about?"
"What if you just don't understand what he's doing?"
"Don't you miss me?" He asked in a low pitch voice. Hindi sinagot ang tanong ko.
"Ross!"
"You said you will never be gone. But you cut all your connections with us. Sa 'kin, sa mga kaibigan natin. You're not answering my calls, you're not responding to my messages. Wala kang paramdam! Do you even realize how worried I was? Kung kamusta ka na, kung ayos pa ba—I fucking miss you."
Natuyan ako ng lalamunan. Humigpit ang hawak sa upuan. I look blankly on the table.
"It was my choice."
"To disappear?" segunda niya.
"Yes. To be gone while I do the work on myself.
"You know I will understand your decisions. Ikaw, Moren? Kailan mo nirespeto ang nararamdaman ko?" Umiyak siya, halos pasigaw.
"You're so unfair! I told you all my plans, pero ikaw, bakit parang ang dali sa 'yong itapon ako. Is it me? Do you have the same reason as Mom? You don't need me anymore that's why you're discarding me."
"Fine! Tell me, anong gusto mong mangyari sa 'ting dalawa?"
Namahimik siya.
"See? Hindi mo alam–"
"Hihinto muna ko para magtrababo. I'll work and earn my own money, until it's enough to pay my tuition. Tutulungan kita, sabay tayong papasok ng college. I don't care when or how long it takes. After that, we'll build our dreams. You just have to trust me."
