Chapter 3

30 minutes
It only took 30 minutes for Elia to reach at her apartment.
"thank you for the ride. I'm so sorry for being such inconvenience for you. I would take the uber though but my phone battery is died" Elia said
Lizzie somehow feels guilty for the girl.
"hey, you're not a burden Elia. Don't worry. Everyone you just met just now loves you so much. Includes me." Lizzie said assuring the girl
Elia just stays silent. Not knowing how to respond but she just nods her head
"pass me your phone number sweetheart" Lizzie said and Elia just pass it over to her nonetheless
Lizzie put her number on it and leave a missed call on her phone to know that's Lizzie phone numbers when she's turns on her phone later
"I put my number on it. you go upstairs and then clean yourself up and keep me updated on how does it go with your foster parent and if anything, at any time you want to text or call me just do so okay?" Lizzie said assured the girl. Lizzie also surprised as to why she feels such guilty to this girl.
"Lizzie, I don't want to be a burden. It's fine though" Elia said softly
"nope, you're not. Now go get some rest. You had long day today" Lizzie said hugging Elia and Elia immediately melt into her embrace. She usually tense but with Lizzie she felt warm and not awkward at all.
"thank you once again. I'll text you later. Bye. Drive safe Lizzie" Elia said closing the door and waving at Lizzie and enters her foster parent home.
Lizzie has drive away.
When Elia came inside, she saw her foster parent at kitchen with wine on their hand
"Eliana? I thought you were in your room asleep?" John asks
"the competition goes well today. I win the first place and the team wanted to celebrate it" Elia replied
"oh. Okay." John said.
Just that? no congratulations? Yeah what to expect. Elia said to herself
"don't forget your classes tomorrow" Lily reminded her while she's climbing the stairs to her room
"yeah" Elia answered simply.
She closed her door and lay down on her bed sighing. She was about to fall asleep when she heard a dinged from her phone.
Unknown number: it's Lizzie. How did it go?
Elia: hey! Just like what I expected. They don't even care and not even congratulations but that's what I expect anyways. And like usual they reminded me about tomorrow classes. I was about to fall asleep when you text me. So, thank you for texting me or not I'll fall asleep not showering
Lizzie: shower first young lady and then you can go to sleep! Talk to you later. Goodnight sweet girl!❤️
Elia: yes ma'am. Goodnight too Lizzie 😊
Elia put her phone at her bedside table. She smiles to herself. It feels weird. Lizzie, the one who she just met, cared about her and the feelings that feels right now is the feelings she never felt.
She decided to hop on the shower and then go to sleep.
Time skip
It's been 2 days since Elia meet the cast but she still doesn't have any idea who they are or what they do for living.
Isaac also gone quiet but Elia understands with the time difference.
It was Sunday, Elia off day from classes but she has to do her revision for 3 hours. Even it was Sunday, her alarm will always be blaring at 8 am sharp. Elia will start her revision at 9 am. It was her schedule.
She just done with her breakfast and her phone goes off. Isaac was calling her. Elia happily pick it up
"you didn't call me for 2 days Eliana!" Isaac said angrily. Elia just chuckles at him. "time differences Isa! And it's been hectic day for me. Bit tired" Elia said admitting and Isaac immediately sighs knowing why.
"they should cut you some slack Lia" Isaac said but Elia just stays silent. She didn't know how to responds. This is not what she wants and she'll be happy if they cut her some slack on studying but they are too stubborn.
"so, how's the 'drink' that day going?" Isaac asks
"I still don't know what they do for living and I don't want to google them Isa! I don't want to see what bad things google say about them. also, Lizzie is so nice to me. Everyone is but she was extra and the feelings is weird though. She always checking up on me these past 2 days and still going on" Elia said
"that's good" Isaac said
"you wanna know who they are?" Isaac asks
"I do actually. They ask me to figure this out on my own" Elia replied
Isaac just smiles to himself. They must've seen Elia innocent sides.
"do you know marvel? The avengers?" Isaac said
Elia thinks for a moment
"yeah. but I don't know about it much though" Elia replied
"it's them Elia" Isaac said chuckling and Elia eyes widen
"you got to be kidding me!" Elia said surprised and Isaac laughs his ass off.
"that's not funny Isa! They are celebrity. Hollywood celebrity Isa! And they must've shame that I don't know them!" Elia said
"chill Lia. They love you though even you don't know them and they must've been relief you don't know them either. They got to be themselves in front of teenagers that won't freaking out because they are celebrity" Isaac reasoned her. Elia silent for a moment to thinks about it. it's true though that she won't freak out or fangirling on them because they were celebrity.
"but why won't they tell me sooner though?" Elia asks confusedly
"I don't know. You have to ask them that. not me" Isaac answered
"I gotta go, I'll call you later Lia, love you" Isaac added
"yeah me too. Love you too Isa" Elia replied and they hung up
Soon enough, Elia got text from Lizzie
Lizzie: fancy joining me lunch today? I'm bored
Elia: sure! I finish my revision at 12
Lizzie: perfect, I'll pick you up at 12:20
Elia: see you soon!
And Elia once again smiles to herself putting her phone in silent. She makes friend. Lizzie seemed cared about her much. Like a mother should. Elia shaking her head as she pushes the thought away. Sensitive issues.
She began her revision. Stressful for her this time. It was her dreadful subject ever. History but she has to get a perfect scored nonetheless.
She didn't even realize it has been 3 hours she studied her history subject. Until her phone vibrates, she picks it up without looking who was calling her
"hello?" Elia answered
"Elia? I'm here" Lizzie said and Elia immediately stood up from her seat panicking
"What?! What time is it?" Elia asks going to her closet searching for an outfit
"oh my god I'm so sorry I got caught up in this history subject. I'll be downstairs in 5" Elia said rushing
"it's fine Elia. Take your time. I'll wait here" Lizzie answered chuckling. Elia internally relief when she hears Lizzie chuckling.
She changes to her crop top and her leather jacket and jeans. She took 5 minutes to go downstairs and when she's in Lizzie's car, she can't stop apologizing for making Lizzie waits.
Lizzie feels this is not right for her to apologizing like this.
When they arrived at the restaurant, they chose the table with private area and with beach scenery in front of them.
Elia started to thinking maybe Lizzie chose this because she wants to avoid the paparazzi and crowded people because Lizzie knows bit much about Elia for these last 2 days, they exchanging texts.
"Lizzie?" Elia asks for Lizzie attention who were inspecting the menus
Lizzie head snapped looking to Elia
"I know what you guys do for a living" Elia stated looking at Lizzie with the purest innocent face that Lizzie ever saw. She just laughs to herself
"did you google us?" Lizzie asks smiling
"nope. Like I said, I don't like googling people. Isa told me" Elia replied and Lizzie just nods her head. Elia was just staying silent after that making Lizzie notices that something was wrong
"Elia?" Lizzie said
Elia just looks at Lizzie in the eyes
"why are you being nice to me?" Elia asks
Lizzie was shocked hearing that
"what do you mean?" Lizzie asks
"nobody. Other than Isaac cared about me like you did. Like the others did. Not even my foster parent. They just care about my stupid grades. They don't even care if I'm tired, if I'm okay or not. They never asked me what I want. They just care about what they want me to be because they took me under their wings" Elia said pouring her heart out at Lizzie with tears in her eyes.
Lizzie just looks at that girl sadly
"Elia, we love seeing you laughs, smiles since the first day we met you. everyone loves you and please don't say you are a nothing but burden." Lizzie said trying to assure that young girl she's worth for happiness.
Elia didn't say anything she just stays quiet.
"I tell you what, what if after this we go to the set huh? Everyone's dying to meet you again. they missed you" Lizzie said
"they missed me? But I don't want to be in your way while you're working Lizzie" Elia said
"nope, you're coming with me because I tell Scarlett already" Lizzie said putting her phone down after she text Scarlett.
"you don't have to- "Elia said but cut off by Lizzie
"remember what I said to you about not a burden?" Lizzie said and Elia just nods her head and then smiles at Lizzie as thank you.
