All the way to the hospital Elia couldn't stop crying in pain and that just makes Lizzie anxious, speeding off to the hospital don't caring anything about speeding tickets anymore or even being pulled over by the police but luckily, they didn't.
When they arrive at the hospital, Elia is immediately brought to the ER with Lizzie and Seb and Isa trailing along.
The ortho came check on Elia
"We gotta bring her for an X-ray" the doctor informs the parent. Elia couldn't stop crying calling for Lizzie and keep on saying that it hurts
"Sh-she said her ribs. Her ribs are hurting her" Lizzie said stuttering and at this point she's crying also.
"We gonna do an X-ray to make sure it didn't bleed on the inside" the doctor said
They brought her to an X-ray leaving the parents and Isa in the waiting room.
Lizzie's phone and Isaac's phone didn't stop ringing at this point. Everyone was calling to check for an update. Lizzie has told them everything and they were waiting patiently
-20 minutes later-
The doctor that handling Elia cases came back to the parents
"Thank god it's not bleeding. It's just her shoulders that are in the wrong place. We're gonna pop it back to the right place but she's gonna feel a hell lot of a pain" the ortho doctor said
Lizzie and Seb were worried but they have to do it no matter what.
Elia has stopped crying when they arrive in her room. The doctor gives her the high dosage pain medication that is similar to her pain relief meds at home.
When the doctor explains to the family everything that's gonna happen after this, Elia starts crying again. she was scared at this point.
"Hold my hand baby, bite my shoulders as hard as you want okay? I'm here" Seb said comforting Elia, kissing her head.
Lizzie standing at the top of Elia's head, Seb on the right-side holding Elia's hand and Isaac at the end of the bed holding her legs.
Lizzie didn't stop kissing Elia's head with her own tears, holding her head trying to make it still, her chin on top of Elia's head which Elia found somewhat comforting too.
The doctor getting ready and count it down
"In 3, 2 and 1" another crack and Elia screaming could be heard, echoing through the whole hospital.
"You're such a brave girl, baby, I'm so proud of you. It's okay, you're okay now baby" Lizzie said whispering, kissing her head longer while Elia screamed, crying in pain.
Elia didn't stop crying and she started to shaking
"Is this normal? She's shaking" Isaac said worriedly
"It's normal for the first 10 minutes. And if it didn't go after 10 minutes, we'll do another check- up. We'll keep her for observation for 30 more minutes" the ortho doctor told them and left the room to give the family some privacy.
Lizzie didn't pull away from the kiss on the head. She knows that's the only comfort thing for Elia right now.
"It hurts. So much mommy" Elia said whispering still crying
"I know, baby. But you did good. I'm so proud of you baby. so, so proud of you" Lizzie replied, wiping her daughter's tears away.
They waited for 20 minutes,
The doctor has come around checking Elia. She stopped shaking just like what the doctor predicted. The crying also has tuned down a little but only to be filled with sniffles.
