Timing/AU: Hamiltime - but changed slightly (as if Eliza wasn't the first to establish 'the first private orphanage in New York City' because for this, I need Reader-Chan to be in an orphanage - yes this means it takes place after John's death (I know I don't like killing him in oneshots, but for the sake of the oneshot, he needs to be dead, otherwise Reader-Chan wouldn't be in an orphanage)

I looked up from the book I had been reading and placed the bookmark in. I stood up and walked up to her, "Yes Miss?"
"I am going to send you away."
"W-what?! What do you mean, I thought I could stay here until I was 21!"
"I'm not kicking you out, (Y/n). I'm sending you to be a maid and caretaker for seven children."
"S-seven?!"
"You like children, don't you? You love to look after the younger ones here."
"I know, but seven is still a lot. When am I to leave?"
She smiled, "'At the earliest possible convenience' is what the letter said. So you can go and pack your bag now." I smiled and nodded, walking off back to my room to pack my bag.

Sitting in the back of the carriage that the orphanage owner had sent for me, I started to get nervous and the thing I do when nervous is sing, so that's what I did. I sung out my nerves in a song.
