I took a deep breath as I knocked on the classroom door, waiting for the teacher to allow me entry. Once I received a, 'Come in', I slowly opened the door, "I was told to come here. I'm new."

"Of course, you must be (Y/n). You can sit next to Samuel," the teacher replied, and I noticed a boy with gingery coloured hair raise his hand. I smiled and guessed he was Samuel and walked over, sitting down next to him, "Hi."

"Hello, I'm Samuel. Pleasure to meet you."

"Good to meet you too," I replied, before the other two boys at the table introduced themselves as Charles and George.

-----------------------------

"Alex! Let me go!" I squeaked as the boy in question grabbed my arm and pulled me over to three other guys, who I guessed were his friends, "I want you to meet my friends, (Y/n), this is Hercules, John and Lafayette, his full name is too long for anyone to remember."

"It's good to meet you all," I smiled. At this point, I felt a tap on my shoulder and I turned around to see Samuel, a shy smile on his face, "(Y/n), would you like to sit with me for lunch?"

I giggled and smiled, "I'd love to, Sam," I replied, "I'll meet you there. I've gotta go do something real quick," I continued, pecking his cheek in my traditional fashion of a goodbye and ran off, hearing one final statement from Alex, "You hurt her, you're dead, Seabury."

------------------------------

"Hey, Sam. Sorry for the wait. I got caught up talking with my-Mr Washington about something, but I'm here now."

"It's alright. I'm glad you didn't bail."

I smiled and sat down next to him, my back against the tree as I pulled out my lunch, which was my favourite. Once I'd finished, I ended up falling asleep on his shoulder, something I didn't think of much at the time, until a few days later...

----------------------------

I smiled to myself, working on an essay that was due for our history class, happily typing away in the living room when I heard the doorbell.

"(Y/n)! Can you get the door?" I heard my mother shout. I stood up and called a, "Yes," back, walking to the door, smiling when I saw Samuel standing behind it, "Hi!"

"Hey, Sam. What brings you here?" I asked, a small blush appearing on my face as he hugged me, due to the crush I'd developed on him.

"Is your dad home? I wanted to ask him something. Like a personal thing, not school related."

I nodded, "Yeah. Just go sit in the living room, I'll go and tell him."

Samuel nodded and took his shoes off, politely placing them next to mine, and walked into the living room. I made my way upstairs and knocked on my father's office door, "Dad. Samuel's here. He wants to talk to you about something."

A few minutes later, he opened the door, a confused look on his face, "Really? Well, I better go and see him then. Living room?"

I nodded and made my way to my room as he walked downstairs.

SAMUEL'S POV

I took a deep breath as (Y/n)'s father walked into the room, "Mr Washington, Sir! May I ask you something?"

"Of course. (Y/n) told me you had something 'personal' to ask me?"

I nodded, "Yeah.. the thing is, I'vefallencompletelyinlovewithyourdaughterandIknowyousaidshewasn'tallowedtodateuntilshewas25,butIwaswonderingifIcouldhaveyourpermissiontodateher?!" I quickly got out, my nerves getting the better of me. When I received silence in response, I looked up at him to see him with a confused look on his face, but before he could say anything, a woman, I guessed to be (Y/n)'s mother, came in, "George, let him. (Y/n) is capable of looking after herself. I can tell he's a good one."

"Very well. Samuel, you have permission to date my daughter."

YOUR POV

I heard a knock on my door and put the lid of my laptop down, allowing the person entry. I smiled when Samuel came in, "(Y/n). I like you. Like really really like you."

"Really? You mean romantically?"

Samuel nodded, a blush taking over his face, "I know you probably don't feel the same, but I just wanted to tell you."

I giggled and stood up, walking over to him, "I do feel the same, Sam. I fell in love with you the minute I met you, but the thing is, my father won't let me date anyone til I'm 25."

"I know, but I talked to him and he gave me permission."

I smiled, "Then I'd love to be your girlfriend, Sam," I replied, pecking his cheek.
