In order to differentiate, Alex refers to Alexander Jr, and either Alexander or Hamilton, means our gremlin boy.

"You look wonderful, Your Highness," I spoke, making the final adjustments to Melody's hair.

"And that's all your doing, (Y/n). Can you help me get my dress on?"

I nodded, "Of course, Your Highness," I replied, picking up the white dress from her bed and helping her get into it. Once it was on, I fixed the green hair piece into her hair putting her whole outfit together, ready for the wedding.

"I still can't believe Father is letting this happen. I mean, he and Alex's dad have been at each other's throats for years, and suddenly he's okay with me marrying the son of his enemy?"

"I understand what you mean, Your Highness, but, and it's probably not my place to say this, I remember a time when the two of them actually did get along. As much as I shouldn't say this, but I do believe your father blames King Alexander for your mother's death. I am unsure why, however."

"Oh."

Eventually, I finished up helping Melody get ready, and she stood up from the vanity table in her room, hugging me, "Thank you, Mother!" I was immediately confused, due to the fact that I looked nothing like Melody's mother, and Melody soon realised her mistake, "I'm sorry, (Y/n)!"

"Perfectly fine, Your Highness. Mistakes happen. Now, are you ready to marry your prince?"

She nodded and walked towards the door, but as her hand was on the door handle, she turned around to face me, "Have you ever been in love, (Y/n)?"

I shook my head, "No, as I'm sure you're aware, Your Highness, I've been here since before you were born and basically my entire life, I've never had a chance to be in love."

"There must be someone you like though!"

"I do believe you have a wedding to get to, Your Highness," I replied, trying to change the subject. Melody just looked at me, narrowing her eyes in a 'I'll find out about your love life at some point' way as she left the room, a smirk on her face. I let out a nervous giggle and followed her, walking towards the maids' quarters and into my room.

MELODY'S POV

Just as I left my room, I bumped into my father, "Hello, Father."

"Melody, you-you look, just-"

I just hugged him, a small giggle escaping my lips, "You don't need to finish that sentence, Father. I know what you were trying to say. I have a question, well, I guess it's more of a request."

"Go on..." Father responded, looking rather sceptical, knowing of my previous requests from him.

"I request that (Y/n) be allowed to attend my wedding."

"Why?"

"Because, I wish for her to be allowed to attend. Please?"

"Well, it is your wedding, Melody."
