(You are about five or six in this btw)
I had been walking with my mummy when she just left me somewhere and walked off leaving me on my own.
FLASHBACK
"Come on (Y/n), we're going for a walk. Put your shoes on," Mummy said to me.
"Ok, mummy," I replied going to put my shoes on. After I had them on, Mummy helped me get my coat on and we left.
We went to the park and I started feeding the ducks in the pond. I had been doing this for about ten minutes when Mummy said she was going to talk to someone she had seen that she knew. I didn't think anything of it.
FLASHBACK END
And there I was, alone still feeding the ducks when I felt a tap on my shoulder. I turned around to see a tall man with a bald head, "Hello there. Should you not be with your mummy?"
"I don't know where she is. She went off to talk to someone and she hasn't come back."
"Can you give me a description of her and I can see whether I saw her one my way here."
I remembered that I had a picture of her. I pulled it out of my coat pocket and handed it to the man, "Mummy."
He looked and the photo and I saw he had a scared and nervous look on his face, "I saw her walking out the park. Come on I'll take you home." He handed me back the photo and I put it back in my pocket. He held his hand out for me to take which I gladly did. I don't know why but I did. I guess my parents never told me not to trust strangers.
I told him where I lived and we walked over to my house. He knocked on the door and Mummy opened it, "Hello. I believe you left your child at the park, did you not?" I came out from behind him and Mummy looked aghast, "Yes, I did leave her there on purpose. It's called abandonment!" She then shut the door in the man face, "Are you ok? I should have warned you. Mummy doesn't really like people, or me." I looked down sadly before perking up again, "Can you tell me what 'abandonment' means?"
He looked nervous, "Well if someone abandons something or something then it means they don't want it or need it any more."
"Oh," I looked down again, "have I been abandoned then? Do Mummy and Daddy not want me anymore?" I started sniffling.
"I-I, well, I guess not other wise you mummy would have let you in and thanked me for bringing you home." I started full on crying, "Do I have to live on the streets now?"
His gaze softened, "No, of course not. If your parents don't want you, I'll take you in." My face lit up, "Thank you, Mr."
"Can you tell me your name?"
"(Y/n)."
"Well, (Y/n), I'm going to bring you into a place where you will have to be quiet I have a lot of work to do, can you be quiet for me?"
I nodded and pretended to zip my mouth shut which made him chuckle. We walked off before my feet started getting sore, "My feet are sore!" He chuckled and picked me up before placing me on his back. I giggled at this and we continued our journey.
----
We arrived at a very big building and we went inside. "Jefferson!" A man came running out with big poofy hair. I hid behind my new father, scared.
"Jefferson, I need you to look after (Y/n) for me." Father said, picking me up and placing me in the other man's hands. I was immediately entranced with his hair, playing with it and giggling.
-----------
"Jefferson, did you hear anything I said?" I noticed 'Jefferson' hadn't been listening to anything father had said, "I said you need to look after her while I talk to Hamilton."
