Modern High School AU!
Bullying.
Not the best thing in the world. Especially when you're the one being bullied. That was me, the 'Hey, let's just pick on this girl. She doesn't have anyone to stop us! I'll bet her parents don't even love her.' That was true, I didn't have anyone to help me, and my parents didn't care for me. My dad was always working and my mum just didn't care.
Anyway, I got up at normal time and got my breakfast before getting ready and going to school in my normal depressed mood. I arrived early like every other day so I could hopefully get to registration before the school bullies found me, and like every other day I made it. I ran into the classroom closing the door.
"Oh, hello (Y/n). You're early aren't you?"
"Sorry, Professor Washington, I know it's just my mum has to drop me off this early cause my dad's never at home and my mum works really stupid hours, meaning she has to drop me off this early so she can get to work on time."
"It's fine, just take a seat and do what ever you want until the rest of the class decides to show up."
I nodded and walked to my seat near the back by the window, so I could stare out of it.
---------------
The day was going well. By that I mean I had managed to avoid the bullies up until Lunchtime. I was on my own getting the things I needed for the afternoon from my locker, when my collar got pulled up and I was pushed up against the one next to it and slammed down on to the ground. They then started kicking me until, "Stop it! That's not nice!"
They didn't take any notice to it and kept kicking me until, "Jefferson, Madison, Burr. My office now! Samuel, George, take (Y/n) to the nurse please." I then felt myself being hauled up and I felt an arm round my waist and one round my shoulders, "Come on (Y/n). Why didn't you tell us? If you did, we could have told Professor Washington ages ago and they would have been kicked out."
"I'm sorry, I should have told you, it's just, they said that if I told anyone then they would do something so bad that I would need a hospital, or worse." I broke down and started crying into Samuel's chest, "Hey, (Y/n), look at me," he said lifting my chin up with his spare hand, that wasn't round my waist, "It's going to be ok, we or rather George gave Professor Washington, some photos that he had managed to sneak of them bullying you so they can't really argue."
"Thank you, guys."
"Come on let's get you to the nurse," Samuel said picking me up bridal-style making me squeak and my face go red. While we were walking I could almost hear George whisper "I ship it." But I couldn't be sure.
--------------------
I was sitting in the nurses office with her cleaning up all my bruises, "Now, (Y/n) I'll have to roll you're sleeves up to see if there are any bruises underneath, ok?"
I nodded hesitatingly remembering my cuts. She rolled my sleeves up revealing my scars, "(Y/n), why didn't you tell us?"
"I'm sorry, Sam. But I didn't want you to worry about me."
------------------
"Umm, (Y/n). can I talk to you?" Sam asked me.
"Listen, Sam. I'm sorry I should have told you."
"(Y/n), we're not upset. We just want to know why."
"Well, lots of things: My mum hates me, I never see my dad, my older siblings hate me, the bullying, literally no one cares about me, and now that I'm doing bad in school because of the bullying, my mum has started to hit me." I started crying into him.
"Listen (Y/n), this probably isn't the best time to say this but... I...."
"He's trying to confess his love for you (Y/n)," George cut in knowing Samuel would take literally all day to say it, and probably end up chickening out.
"I wanted to--" I put a finger to his lips, "Sam its ok. I love you too." His face lit up, "Really?!" I nodded, "Yes Sam," I replied giggling before pecking him on the lips, making his face go bright red. I wrapped my arms round his neck soon feeling his round my waist and his smiling into the kiss.
We heard a knock on the door, "I hope I'm not interrupting anything. I just wanted to check on the patient."
"I'm doing fine, Professor Washington. In fact I'm the best I've ever been," I answered nudging Sam, "Someone finally confessed, well, George did it for him."
"Well, I just came to say that they've been kicked out."
"Who?"
"The boys that were bulling you. I kicked them out."
"Thank you."
"Well, I'll leave you to it," he finished leaving the nurse's room. I turned back to Sam and George, "Thank you. If you hadn't told him I would probably be in the hospital by now, or worse."
"It's ok. We couldn't keep going knowing our best friend was being bullied right under our noses." I kissed him again, "I love you, Sam."
"I l-love you too."
