"(Y/n)! You have to marry rich! It's what's expected of a lady!"

"No! Father! I'm sick on this! Both of you! Why should it matter who I marry? The only thing that should be important is love! There's no point in marrying someone you don't love!"

"(Y/n)! We are your parents and you will do as we say until you move out!"

"Like you've ever stopped me before," I replied sassily.

"(Y/n), I have a meeting to attend in London and you are coming with me. Maybe then you'll see how important it is for you to marry rich. A man's work is no job for a woman."

"Yay! Lucky me. More lectures from you AND for the whole boat trip, yay!" I answered sarcastically.

--------------------

"Your Majesty, I would like to introduce you to my daughter, (Y/n)," my father spoke.

"It's a pleasure to meet you, Your Highness," I spoke curtsying.

"What a polite young lady, you are. Good to meet you too."

"What was the matter you wished to discuss with me, Your Highness?" my father asked.

"Actually, I was wondering whether I could talk to your daughter for a minute."

"Of course. (Y/n) go with the king."

I followed the king into another room and he closed the door. I then spoke up, "What did you want to speak to me about, Your Highness?"

"First of all, just call me George. Secondly, I'm intrigued by you and would like to give you a trial run of being my personal advisor, would you like that?"

"Yessir! Mr George Sir!"

"(Y/n), please drop the sir and Mr."

"Ok, George!"

"That's better."

-------------

Time passed and I had slowly developed a crush on George. I know it was bad but I couldn't help it. I tried to contain my feelings as I knew my trial run of being his personal advisor would come to an end and I'd have to go back home, but it still didn't stop them from surfacing. Now that I think about it, this trial run has gone on for months now. I wonder why.  I was snapped fro my thoughts by a voice, "(Y/n), the king requests your presence in his room."

"Thank you, Annie," I replied walking up to George's room and knocking, "Enter."

"You wanted to see me, George?" I spoke walking in and closing the door behind me.

"Yes, I did, (Y/n). Ever since I met you, there's something about you that intrigues me. I realise now what that is; Love. I love you, (Y/n)."

I was shocked by this. So this is the reason my trial run is still going on. "If that's the case, you wouldn't object to me kissing you, right?" He wrapped an arm around my waist, "Of course not, love," before kissing me. I wrapped my arms around his neck, deepening the kiss. "I love you too, George."

-----------

"See (Y/n). It's true, you were meant to marry a rich man," my mother spoke as she was adjusting my

"But that's not why I'm marrying him, mum. I love him and he loves me, that's why. I'm not doing it for the money or power."

"Whatever you say, dear."

---------------

"Mia, Lana, John, Alex, Eliza, Simon... Wait where's Athena gone?" I asked myself before feeling a weight on my back, "There. That's where you are," I spoke taking her off my back, "You are a very pesky little three-year-old aren't you?" She started giggling and I put her down. She ran off to join the others and I sat down on the nearby chair rubbing my stomach.

"How are you doing, love?"

"I was doing perfectly fine until you put the devil in my stomach for the eighth time," I spoke grumpily due to not sleeping well.

"Did you tell them yet?"

"Well, I think Simon and Mia have figured it out, due to them being the oldest they know what happens when my stomach gets this big and I get incredibly grumpy."

"You'll be fine though. You can make it through. You're strong."

"Thanks, Georgie," I smirked, pecking him on the cheek.

"I thought I told you not to call me that," he replied, his face going red.

"Meh, I'll do what I want, thank you."
