This might suck, I haven't written a Hamilton Oneshot in a while. I've been writing Ace Attorney ones....
Time: Hamiltime - Winter's Ball
Warnings: None?
------------------
LAFAYETTE'S POV
We were all excited because the winter's ball was coming up. Alexander was saying that he was going to get a Schuyler sister. Good luck with that Alexander. When we arrived, Washington pulled us over when he spotted us.
"Now I know what you four are like. I just want to say; no falling in love with my daughter, ok?"
We all nodded, "Yes Sir!" He then left to walk up the stairs.
YOUR POV
I was pacing in my room, I don't want to go out there. If I do, there's just going to be men that try to get me just for father. I was interrupted by a knock on the door, "Come in." The door opened to reveal my father, "Oh hello father."
"(Y/n) should you not be downstairs having fun?"
"You're right father," I spoke walking up to him and hugging him. "That's my girl." I walked out the room waiting for my father to follow me. He then took my arm leading me down and towards three men.
"Men, this is my daughter, (Y/n). Remember-wait, where's Hamilton gone?"
"Over there, trying and probably failing to charm a Schuyler," one of the men replied pointing to a guy with short ponytail talking to a girl in a pink dress. I turned back to the guy, he had curly hair that was pulled back into a bun on the top of his head. My father then walked off and they turned to me, "Well, hello there mademoiselle Washington," Bun hair guy said. Well he's definitely French.
"Just (Y/n) is fine. No need for formalities," I replied noting his face go slightly red which his friends noticed, "Hey Laf! Remember what Washington said," one of them said.
"I know what Washington said, John! I'm not doing anything!" 'Laf' replied. His friends laughed before one of them patted him on the back and they left. "So, are you going to introduce yourself, or do I just call you 'Baguette' for the rest of the night?"
"Mon nom es Marie-Joseph Paul Yves Roch Gilbert du Motier Marques de Lafayette, but you can just call me Lafayette."
"I'm (Y/n), as you guessed from my father's introduction."
"I'm sorry about my friends, they seem to act drunk, even if they aren't."
"It's fine, as long as you're perfectly sober," I giggled grabbing his hand and dragging him away. I brought him to my favourite place in the garden, "This is my favourite spot. Whenever I need calming down, I always come here."
"You're beautiful."
I looked at him shocked, "What did you say?!"
"I-I mean, it's beautiful!"
"Really? Because that's not what came out of your mouth, Lafayette."
"Is it not? I thought it did. Oh well."
"It didn't," I spoke getting closer to him, watching his face heat up, "I guess my father didn't tell you how much of a flirt I am, did he?" He shook his head. "Too bad," I said before closing the gap between us. I saw his eyes widen and his face go redder than it already was before he melted into the kiss, wrapping his arms round my waist, mine going round his neck and to his hair, untying his bun. I licked his bottom lip asking for permission, which he gave me.
"Jefferson! What are you doing with my daughter!?"
We broke away immediately, "Father! What are you doing?!"
"I came to look for you, also how did you get out here so quickly? I was literally just talking to you inside?!"
"Sir, I'm not Jefferson," Laf said tying his hair back up, "That's better."
"Lafayette, I beg your pardon for mistaking you for Jefferson, you two look incredibly similar when you both with have your hair up or down. But my question still stands, what are you doing with my daughter?! After I specifically told you not to!"
"What?! You did what?! Father I thought we talked about this, I should allowed to chose who I love! Whether their a soldier or not!"
"Wait, you love me?" Lafayette said, his face heating up more than it already was. I took a deep breath, "Yes, I don't care that you're a soldier and might not come back from the war, I've fallen head over heels for you."
I noticed my father take a deep breath, "If Lafayette, feels the same, I have no objections to the two of you courting." My face lit up.
"Of, course I do, Sir! (Y/n) will be safe with me!"
"Very well."
I ran up to him, "Thank you father." He returned the hug, smiling, "As long as you're happy." I let go and ran back to Lafayette, kissing him passionately, him returning the kiss immediately.
-----------------
I was pacing back and forth in my room again. The war was over finally, but neither Father, nor Lafayette had returned yet. What if something bad happened? What if- I was cut from my thoughts by the front door opening. I rushed out my room and downstairs to see my father and Lafayette perfectly alive. I ran up to them and hugged my father before kissing Lafayette passionately. "I've missed you."
"Missed you too (Y/n)."
"(Y/n), I'm sorry if we worried you and your mother, but we had to make a stop first," Father said motioning to Laf who eventually got the message, "Right, (Y/n), I love you so much and I want to spend the rest of my life with you. So, will you marry me?" he asked getting down on one knee. I nodded, "Yes, of course I will! I love you too!"
