I was out walking with Pip, we had been friends for ages but I never told him who my father was. He would flip out if I told him. You see the problem was Philip's father hated mine and I figured that Philip would hate my father as well. You know the worst part? I fell in love with Pip the minute I met him. I never planned on telling him this until one day.
----
"Pip, I need to tell you something," I spoke. He nodded at me to continue, which I did, "I'm moving to France." (I know Jefferson left for France way before Philip was even born.) His face was in shock.
"Pip, I'm sorry. I have no choice in this, literally I cannot say no to this! My father is making me go with him. But before I go, I don't know how long I will be there for so I want to ask you something. Pip, if your best friend since you were little that never told you who her father was, told you that she was the daughter of your father's enemy, what would you do? And what would you say/do if that same friend told you they loved you?" He was silent for a minute before speaking, "Well, if my best friend told me that they were the daughter of my father's enemy, I would forgive them saying that I knew they only wanted to stay friends with me and not let our fathers' feud get in the way of our friendship, and for the part of my friend loving me, I guess depending on who it was I'd have a different reaction as to who it was." I looked down sadly trying to hide my tears. I stood up and walked away, "Pip, I love you." I ran off leaving him sitting on the grass.
I was nearly at the park gates when a hand tugged my wrist and turned me round. I closed my eyes out of sacredness only to feel pressure on my lips. I opened my eyes slowly to see Philip in front of me kissing me. I immediately kissed back, making it a full on make-out session.
We were interrupted by shouting, "(Y/n) (M/n) Jefferson! What are you doing with Hamilton's spawn!!?"
I immediately broke away from Pip and pushed him away, "Dad, what are you doing here? I said I would walk back."
"Well, you're half and hour later than you said you would be. I come to get you and I find you with the one person I forbid you to associate with!" He grabbed my arm and started dragging me away.
I had had enough, "No, father. I am a grown woman and I will make my own choices. And you know another thing? I love Philip!" I got out of his grip and walked over to where Pip was standing awestruck, and kissed him full on, "And you know another thing father? I am NOT coming to France with you!"
His face was shocked at the fact I had just stood up to him like that. You see I had been a very obedient child (I have the honour to be your obedient servant) since I was young so this change of attitude was very shocking, "(Y/n), I understand that and I'm sorry for being controlling but I just don't want to lose you. I can see that Philip makes you happy so if it is ok with Hamilton, it's ok with me for you to date."
My face went from looking surprised to overjoyed, "Thank you so much!" I ran up to him and hugged him, "Thank you! Thanks you. I'm sorry for shouting at you. I love you so much father."
"I have no idea why you're so happy, you still don't have my approval yet," A new voice said, Mr Hamilton. Where did he come from? Probably with father. Me and Philip looked to each other and nodded, mentally syncing. The next second we were both on our knees in a begging position in from of Pip's father pinning like a dog and doing puppy eyes.
"Ok, fine! Now please stop that! It creeps my out." We stood up and hugged him, "Thank you." I let go and turned back to father, "Father do I really have to come with you to France?"
"Jefferson's going to France? Never knew that."
"That's because you didn't need to know Hamilton."
"Would you mind not fighting right now? You see Philip and I were trying to have a moment."
Our fathers looked to each other the same way me and Pip did before, and the next thing we knew they were both walking out the park. I looked to Pip, "So you want to try that again, maybe without being interrupted by our fathers?" He nodded and we leaned in and kissed again before being interrupted AGAIN, "Go get her son!"
"(Y/n)! Go on girl!"
I gave Philip a look saying, 'You wanna go and shout at them until they let us have a moment together alone?' He nodded and we both left in the direction of our fathers.
Long story short, father left with a bleeding nose and Philip's father left with a twisted ankle.
