XII. Needs You.

      

     WHEN LIV said that, Jake just stared at her. "What?" He whispered and something else caught his attention. "Jake, hey, Jake," his mom shook him and he woke up, rubbing his eyes. "It's John B. He needs you." She says and he glanced over at Evie's crib. "She's up and playing... so you can go, he needs you and he's waiting outside with your other friends." She says and Jake just nods his head.

"Okay," he yawns, getting out of bed and grabbed his stuff. He walks out, approaching the van outside as he rubs his eyes again. "This better be good." He says as he pointed at John B as JJ opened up the back door of the van. "I finally got it, Jake." He says and Jake nods to JJ, Kie and Pope as his greeting to them as he sat down behind John B.

On the way, it's gotten dark and JJ spoke up, "do you mind if I just relax on this one? It's been a long day, and a lot of weird stuff's gone down. I'm just gonna lay low. Oh, did you want a hit of this?" He asked Jake who was looking at him. "I'll pass..." He glanced away as the blond looks at Pope next to offer him. "I'd keep the signal clear." He denies it as well.

"Dude, okay. Do you understand what your problems are that you both don't get creative?" He said as he glanced between the two and Jake just rolled his eyes, glancing at Kie who's eyes are already on him. "If you got creative, then--" "Look, I-I know I was wrong about the lighthouse, alright?" John B cuts him off.

"And pretty much wrong about everything else going on. But I-I was right about one thing. Okay? My dad is trying to tell me something." He looked at Kie then the boys.

They arrive to the graveyard and began walking together, holding flashlights. "Come on. Hey, come on." John B ushers Kie who looks at him. "I'm coming. This place is scary." She says and Jake looks all around. "John B, what are we doing here?" He asked, looking at the boy. "Okay, so you know how you're trying to remember a song and you can't remember who sings it?" John B asked them.

"Yeah." Kie and Jake say at the same time so they glance at one another before quickly looking away. "So, Redfield. This whole time, I thought it was a place, right? But it's not a place. It's a person." He says, raising his latern up to the display of ten name at the top of a mausoleum. "Voi-effing-là."

"See, my great-great-grandmother, Olivia Redfield." John B says as he looks back at the others and Jake raised his brows, surprised. "That was her maiden name." The boy explains as he looks back up. "Help me with the door. Come on." He tells the other boys.

"Alright."

Jake and Pope go to help him try to push open the door. "Are you pushing?" Pope asked. "Yeah, I'm pushing." John B says through gritted teeth. "Come on." The boys continue to try and get the door open as JJ joins them. "Come on, man, this door is like 700 pounds. It's not gonna budge." Pope said and JJ looks at him. "We didn't come this far to get this far, alright?" But a snake hissing frightens them.

"A snake!"

"That's a moccasin, alright. Ye olde Dr. Cottonmouth. Death in tall grass." JJ was in front of the other four that had backed away, he begins barking at the snake. "Dude! Shut, shut up!" Jake says as Pope taps him. "You're gonna wake the dead, man." He says.

"Dude, they're afraid of dogs. Everyone knows that, man." The blond says before looking at John B. "Wait, wait, hold on, hold on." He says making the other turn to him. "What?" John B says. "If there's one, then there's probably dozens." He says and Jake sighs. "Oh, my God, can you stop? You're scaring me, bro." Kie says as JJ starts barking again.

"Stop barking at the snakes."

"I'm just making sure it's clear--" "shut up!" Pope cuts him off. "Shut up. John, look." He looks at the boy. "We're not gonna get in there, alright? It's not budging." He says and Jake points his flashlight. "What about that?" He says right when Pope says they should just go. "Yeah. I can get through." Kie says making the boys all look at her. "What?" Jake says first.

"No, no, no, no. You think you're gonna fit through?" John B asked her. "That hole?" He pointed when Kie looks at him. "Look, this is about your dad. And honestly, I really don't believe in it, but you deserve to know the truth." She says and Jake glanced at John B. "I'll do it." She walks up, "come on." She says and pushed the branches out of the way.

"Can you help me with that?" She asked and John B and Pope helped hold them out of the way. John B and Pope just keep holding them out of the way, "got it?" Kie asked and they reply, "yeah. Yeah, we got it." Jake looks at Kie, "are you sure?" He asked her.

She nods. "Yeah..." She says and he nods. "I-I'll give you a boost." He says before positioning himself against the door. "Here," he says as he held out his hands locked together and she looks at John B. "Remind me what we're looking for." She tells him. "You'll know when you see it." Is all he says, not even looking at her.

She glanced at Jake who pats his shoulder gently before locking his fingers again. "Hold my flashlight." She says, holding it out to JJ who takes it. "Got it?" She asked Jake who nods, waiting patiently before she steps onto his hands and she reached up, "one, two, three." He says before lifting her up as she jumped up at the same time. "Got it." He brushed his hands onto his pants. "Flashlight?"

"Yeah, here." JJ says, passing it through the opening which she took. "You okay in there?" Jake asked her worriedly. "Yeah, so far." She calls back and Jake just chews on his bottom lip, glancing at the others. "Uh... I need some more light." She says. "Yeah, yeah, here. I gotcha." John B raised his latern.

"Did you find something? Is there gold?"

"Oh, my God."

the small cliffhanger it left us on at this episode, i was gonna pause my binging for a while like for a break when i first saw it but then i deciced to continue it because i was curious 😭
