DURING HIS drive, Jake called JJ, and the boy picked up quickly, "hey, hey, what happened man? Did you get her?" JJ asked right away. "What was the name of that wilderness camp your cousin was sent off to?" He asked right away as JJ looks around at the others who were looking at him expectantly.
"Kitty Hawk." JJ said right away and Jake nods. "There's a girls' half and a boys' half. It's like this reeducation camp, run by the Moonies outside the city near the coastal swamp. Hey, what's going on? Do we keep waiting for you two?" JJ now asked and Jake sighed.
"Kitty Hawk Camp... Jayj, they sent her there. So, I'm gonna need at least more than an hour for liberation." He tells him. "How long exactly?" JJ glanced at the others. "E--Eight hours?" He says quietly, his tone fading. "Eight hours? We don't have eight hours! We've got a jet here, we're all waiting." He says, just as John B, Sarah, Cleo and Pope look over.
"I know, dude. I know the clock is ticking. Just hold out as long as you can, please. If you gotta go, I'll find a way to meet you there." He says and JJ sighed. "Okay, fine. Fine, fine..." He said and then Jake hung up, tossing his phone into the passenger side seat.
When he arrived to Kitty Hawk, he sighed as he pulls up to the gate, "hold it right there, please." The security guard said so he nods, slowing down and rolling down the window further. "How are you doing, sir?" He asked politely with a smile. "Can I help you?" He asked and Jake nods. "Hi sir, uh, I... camp counselor Laura, I'm her... her brother." He lied.
"I was actually gonna drop off one of these packages back here for her, if that's okay." He pointed to the backseat where the man glanced. "It's real quick, just in and out. I promise." He said then gave another polite smile. "Alright. Yeah, go ahead." The security nods, so he nods. "Thank you so much, have a good day!" He says as he drove through the gate, even politely smiling and waving at the other worker standing nearby the golf cart.
He drove through the camp, looking around and finally reached an empty parking space, he looked around skeptically as he hopped out. "Hi there, sir, I'm looking for the office." He called out to a man standing at the top of the staircase at one of the buildings. "Yeah?" The man replied. "Uh, just like if there's a main lodge or something like that?" He asks.
The man just pointed so he points, "right down there?" He asked and the man gave a thumbs up. "Thank you very much!" He waved as he began walking in that direction. When he arrived, the receptionist looked up right away, "hi, how's it going, ma'am?" He asked as he shut the door behind him. "Can I help you, son?" The woman asks, confused.
"I have a message for one of your campers here. Um..." He walked over, "her name is Kiara Carrera. She's here, right?" He asked as he stood in front of the desk now. "Unfortunately, we're not allowed to do that." She says and he softly nods. "You're not even supposed to be here on campus." She added and he quickly stood up straight.
"Okay, it's just that it's something very important." He insisted. "It's a very important matter." He added on. "Oh, I'm sure it is, sweetie, but we have a policy. No contact from the outside world for the first six weeks." She said as he noticed a picture of a cat on her desk, so he just looked down. "It's so hard to talk about... because it's a family matter, and uh... I'm related to her. I'm her cousin." He said, hoping that it was believable and she just squinted, slowly nodding.
"So, look, I know you got a policy and all, but there's just been something that happened recently that..." He pretends to get choked up. "God, it's so hard, I'm getting a little emotional. So I think I should go. I'm sorry." He goes to turn around. "Since I shouldn't even be here. But before I leave, could you just let her know, um... just that, uh... Marley didn't make it?" He says, still pretending to be choked up.
