XXIV. Your Wish.

AT THEIR lookout point that Jake and his two partner picked, Jake stared out at the wharf with his arms crossed as the three mostly stood in silence, until Kie stepped closer and grabbed his arm gently. "You okay?" She asks quietly as he quickly turned to look at her.

"Yeah? You?" He asks, putting his hand over her own and she just nods, staring at him. Jake turned his attention over to JJ who's just holding his hands over his eyes, looking around. The Lennox boy examined his side profile, noticing that JJ looked like he had a lot on his mind. "Hey, did you guys know that, supposedly, if you find the blue crown, you get a wish?" Kie said suddenly, looking at the two boys who both glance at one another before they are both looking over at her.

"Is that what they say?" Jake asks curiously and Kie nods. "It's the legend." She merely says as Jake looks over at JJ instantly. "Hmm." The blond boy hums and Jake smiles softly. "Hmm." Kie hums after as well, glancing away. "Let's hear it. What's your wish?" Kie asked. "Don't say a truck." Jake says instantly and JJ just pointed a finger at him before turning around, clearly still deep in his thoughts.

"I don't know." He says, before looking down as both Jake and Kie wait for his answer. JJ looks at them, "save Poguelandia." He says and Kie nods as Jake smiles. "Yup. Good one." The Carrera girl glances away. "Mm-hmm." JJ hums, his eyes fixated on Jake now. "If we could make it like it was, that's the dream." Kie glances at them and Jake looks at her, nodding. JJ glances over at his two partners.

"Or I could go for truck. New suspension, LED rack, rims. All the, you know, make it look like a spaceship." JJ says and Jake laughs. "You could, but you have to pick. It's not a genie, Jay. You only get one." He says, smiling at the blond who turns around. "Make it good." Kie quips, crossing her arms as she leans her head onto Jake's shoulder now. JJ glanced over at the two, his eyes flickering between the two standing together before smiling.

He looks away, nodding. "Okay." He said. "Okay. Got it?" Jake looks at him. "Mm-hmm." The boy hums. "What is it?" Kie asks curiously and JJ looks over. "Well, that's the thing about wishes. If you say them, they won't come true." He says and Jake rolls his eyes, smiling. "Wow." The Carrera girl looks away. "Yeah." JJ quips. "You're really not gonna tell us?" The Lennox boy asks, sounding offended but it sounds playful. "It won't come true." The Maybank boy insisted, looking at them. "Okay, well, if you give us a hint, it's not the same--" "wait, wait, wait." JJ quickly cuts off Kie, looking away. "See that guy?"

Jake and Kie both look over immediately, spotting the man that JJ was pointing at. "That one right there." He pointed at the man moving through the crowd, looking around. "That was one of the Corsairs that kidnapped me and brought me onto his ship." JJ tells the two. "He's definitely heading towards the boat." Jake said before JJ began moving. "I see it. I see it." JJ merely replied with, before smacking the big cannon ball launcher, making a loud noise which was their signal.

After, followed a loud Arabic voice prayer over a large speaker, "what is that?" Kie asks, looking around. "It's the call to prayer." JJ tells me them. "They're never gonna hear us." Jake said worriedly. "I know." JJ sighs. "Okay." He said. "Boys, you're not gonna like this." Kie said. "He's definitely armed, and he knows you, JJ." She then added. "No, are you kidding me?" JJ said right away. "Kie, no. Way too sketch right now." Jake followed after her, as she turns to them. "I'm going. Stay here. I'll be fine." She walked up, giving Jake a quick kiss on his cheek, then glanced at JJ. "Hold down the fort. Literally." She says, before walking away.

Jake sighed quietly, turning to JJ who's already staring right at him with worry. The two boys go over to the rail, watching their girlfriend bump into the guy, and then talk to him. Jake grimaces when Kie grabs the man's arm, "be careful." JJ murmured quietly, also watching the Carrera girl interact with the man.
