XIII. Blackbeard.

A LOT can change in the span of 18 months. Like a lot. But Jake Lennox was fine with all the change, in fact, he loves the change. He has full custody of Evie again because Olivia's gone off... somewhere, no one really knows, not even Beatrice who told Jake she had a feeling that it would happen again. Then she told Jake to call her whenever, that she'd be there in a split second. Jake was kind of grateful then, that Olivia wrote her down as the Godmother of Evie. It kind of helped, with the date nights he'd plan with Kie, or whenever he wanted to give his family a break. And, shit, finally the Pogues were, like, heroes now, or seen as equals for once by Kooks.

Today was the event on Figure Eight, to honour the expedition that the group of teens had gone on. "Kie! Kie! Kie! Do you see my shirt anywhere?" He walks out the bathroom and the girl was in the bedroom, swaying back and forth with Evie in her arms and humming the tune of Over the Rainbow quietly. "It's on your doorknob." Kiara nods and Jake sighed, grabbing the shirt quickly to slip it on.

"Stop being so nervous, Jay." She says, setting down Evie onto the floor so the toddler just began walking away, literally just walking out the door. "Ev--" "leave her be." Kie says as she walks over, grabbing his hands since he was rushing to button up his shirt. She brings her boyfriend's hands close to her, pressing soft kisses on the side before smiling and letting them go. Jake slowly moves his hands to her waist as she buttoned up his shirt for him, continuing where he left off.

She finished off the buttons and smiled when she saw he was watching her the whole time. "You're so beautiful, Kie..." Jake says softly and Kie just blushed, scrunching up her nose before the boy leaned in, closing the space between them with a kiss. She kissed back, cupping his face in her hands before the two part, staring into one another's eyes. "You happy?" She says quietly, brows furrowing.

"With you?" He grabs one of her hands, interlocking their hands together before nodding. "Always." He answers and she just giggled. "You're so corny." She says and he rolls his eyes, smiling at her. "You like it when I'm corny." He leans in, pecking her lips again and Evie rushed back into the room, giggling. "Dada, Kie," she said and then raised her arms up towards the two so Kie picks her up.

"Yeah, baby?" She says and Evie tilts her head. "We go see granny and nana?" She asked, granny being the nickname for Jake's mom and nana for his grandma. "Yep, you excited?" Jake asked, smiling at her and Evie nods. "I love granny and nana." She says then looked at Kie, shyly smiling. "And Kie..."

Kie smiled widely, "I love you too, Eves," she leaned over and kissed the toddler's forehead gently as Jake glanced between them with a small smile. "Okay, Evie, I should get you dressed then we gotta head out." Jake says, taking the girl from Kie's arms, bringing her over to the bed where he had laid out a dress and shoes for her to wear. "No, dada, let me do it. I'm a big girl now." Evie says, sounding sure of herself, pointing her chest.

"Okay." Jake backed off, looking up at Kie beside him. "She's a big girl now." He shrugged as Kie nods. "Obviously. She's 3 and a half." She insisted and Evie nods, humming. Jake smiles, waiting as Evie did successfully get her dress on, but she was struggling with her shoes, because she unstrapped them when there really was no need to do so. "Dada..." She said quietly, "need my help?" Jake grins.

"No. I want water." Evie grins, all baby teeth showing and Kie smiled, noticing how similar that their grins were as Jake sighs, getting up. "Be right back." He gently touches Kie's arm as he passes by her. "Smart. Get rid of him so I can help you. Right?" Kie says and Evie nods. "Yes." She said and lifted her foot with the first shoe she'd been struggling with.

Kie helped her out, fixing the shoe and slipping on the other one with ease on Evie's other foot. "Kie..." She said suddenly and Kiara looks up at her, smiling. "Yeah?" She says and Evie tilts her head. "Can I call you mom?" She said and Kie raised her brows, taken aback by a big question like that. Nevertheless, she smiled. "Of course. Only if you want to, Eves..." She nods and Evie smiled widely back at her.
