BACK AT Jake's grandma's place, the two walked in together and he tried to make sure that his grandma doesn't bump onto Kiara, that maybe she didn't have to know, but on their way into the guest bedroom, she was walking out with an empty baby bottle in her hand.

"Oh, Jake, hon, I just put Evie to bed." She says and he just nods, smiling at his grandma who now looked behind him, at Kiara. "Hi, who might you be?" She asked and Kie just smiled widely at the 53 year old woman. "I'm Kiara. Or Kie for short." She said and even held out her hand towards the older woman. "Oh, hi. Nice to finally meet the girl I've been hearing so much about." The Lennox lady says, smiling kindly as she shook Kie's hand.

"Uh, she--she's gonna stay the night, if that's--that's okay, gran?" Jake now asked and his grandmother immediately looked at him, glanced at Kiara, then looked back at him. "Are you guys dating now?" She asked suddenly and Jake's face turned red right away as Kie just giggled quietly. "Yeah." She says, grabbing Jake's hand in hers and the woman just nodded, glancing between them.

"That's great news, but um, I hope that--" "Gran, she's only spending the night." Jake said instantly, his face still red. Turning more red even, at the fact his grandma thought they'd be doing that under her roof. "Okay, well, I'm off to bed, goodnight kids." She smiled and headed off towards her own bedroom.

Kie giggled again, putting her forehead onto Jake's shoulder as the teenage boy just quietly sighed. "Let's head to bed now." The two now laid side by side in the bed while Kie glanced over at the playpen next to the bed on her side, at the sleeping Evie in it. She smiled and then looked back at Jake. "So, how old was your grandma when she had your mom? She looks so young..." She now asked in a quiet voice so she doesn't wake up Evie.

"Oh, she was eighteen. So was my mom when she had me." Jake said and Kie just nods along, listening to the boy. "But I got them both beat, I had Evie at 15." He joked and the Carrera looks at him, just grinning widely and rolling her eyes. "Kie, are you sure you're okay?" He asked her suddenly and she looks at him in the eyes, then smiles. "I'm always okay when I'm with you." She whispered back and he scrunched up his nose.

"That's a little corny but I'll take the compli--" "shut up." Kie blushed and leaned in, connecting her lips to the boy's. He kissed back, raising a hand to the side of his face before she leaned back and just stared at him for a moment. "I got you and you got me, right?" She asked and he just nods, glancing down at their connected hands, her fingers interlocking with his. "Yeah. Of course, Kie."

The next morning, Jake woke up to his grandma knocking on the door and reminding him of class today, even the quiz he had in Geometry. "Jake," Kie nudged him as Evie was waking up, rubbing her eyes. "Hmm, five more minutes." The boy groaned, flipping over as Kiara sat up, sighing and yawning. She looked over and saw Evie standing up, so she smiled, but the baby made a face and began crying. "Jake, Jake," Kie nudged him again.

Jake rushed up, and over to her side, immediately getting up on his feet just to pick up Evie out of the playpen. "It's okay, it's okay. It's okay." He quietly said while he swayed side to side as a way for comfort to the baby, who now laid her head onto his shoulder. "Why did she cry looking at me?" Kie frowns, standing up. "I don't know... Eve, that's Kie, you remember Kie, right?" He says and Kiara smiled widely at the baby who looked up at her.

The baby now hides in his chest, turning her head away as Kie frowns again. "It--it might've been because she's been... having visits with Olivia recently, but I don't know." He merely said, rubbing Evie's back gently and Kie nods. "I've been replaced." She says and he looks at her, shaking his head. "No, no, not to me." He said right away and she smiles, laughing. "I was just joking." She said and then nodded. "Of course she got used to her mom being around." She says and Evie cooed quietly.

"Mama," she said and Jake looked away. "Yeah." He murmured and Kie just stared at his side profile. "It's okay. You know... if... if you still have feelings for her and want to--" "the only feelings I have for Olivia Grey is resentment. I don't wanna be around her, I don't wanna talk to her, I'd only do that for Evie's sake." He said and looked down, kissing the top of his daughter's head as Kie nods.

"I'm sorry. I just--" "Kie. You have nothing to worry about. I only have eyes for you." He says and she just began smiling as she looks at him. "Me too." She said and he nods, glancing away with a small smile. "Evie..." He whispers and then turned to Kie again, "this is Kie. Come on, you know her. She's changed your diapers and fed you before, many times." He says and Evie looked at Kiara once again.

"Really, Eve? After all we've been through?" Kie asked in a soft tone and put her hands on her chest as she made a frowny face and Evie just stared at her. Kie then smiled, "it's okay. I'm sorry I haven't been around. You know my friend I told you about, John B? He's back now." She said quietly as Jake stared at her, smiling faintly. She doesn't talk to Evie in that stupid baby voice that Olivia does all the time.

She always talks to her like she's an adult, like Jake has always done, no squeaky voice or anything. "John B," Evie babbled and the rest is gibberish as Kie is nodding. "The exact same boy." She says and Jake just leaned over, pressing a kiss to her lips. "Sorry. I just... I couldn't help it." He says, smiling faintly as Evie just looked between the two. "Dadda," she said and then more gibberish.

"She said you shouldn't interrupt our conversation." Kie says, squinting her eyes at Jake who shrugs. "I think she said I should kiss you again." He said and leaned down, connecting their lips in another short kiss as Evie cooed, now reaching towards Kiara, who pulled back and lifted the baby out of Jake's hands, smiling widely. "Hi, you like me again?" She asked as she now bounced the girl up and down in her arms, so Evie giggled and put her hands over Kie's face.

Jake stared at the two now with a small grin on his face. "I'm gonna take a shower. You good to watch her?" He asked Kie who nods quickly. "I have your grandma to help." She says, smiling faintly at the boy who grabbed her face and leaned in, kissing her once more. "Had to get one more in." He says, smiling widely before leaving the bedroom, to head into the bathroom, while Kie heads to the kitchen.

"I've never seen that boy so happy, not even with Olivia." His grandma spoke while Kie was putting Evie in her high chair. "Sorry?" She looked over and the woman smiled, glancing over as she sipped her coffee. "Jake." She clarified and Kie just chuckles, entering the kitchen. "Here's Evie's breakfast..." She said now, setting down the plate and the teenage girl just nods her head.

"Just be careful with my grandson's heart. He has a lot of love. But his heart is also fragile." She says and Kie looks up at the woman, then nods. She smiles, "I care about him too much to do that, Ms. Lennox." She says and the woman just chuckles. "Ms. Lennox makes me feel old. Call me Lillian." She says and Kie nods, smiling widely at the woman.

"Lillian's a pretty name..."

"So is Kiara."
