THE GROUP and the sheriff's attention all turn to the Cameron boy who's making his way over to them, "listen, I'm just here to save everyone's asses, okay?" Rafe calls out to them. "Shoupe, I gotta talk to you. You're missing a part of this picture." He said and Shoupe put his hand on his gun. "Hey. Hey, stay back! Stay back!" He said which is understandable, because the dude has killed a sheriff before already, he can't be the second. "Jesus Christ!" Rafe threw up his hands.

"What are you gonna do, shoot me?" He asks, backing up. "Huh? You're looking for Chandler Groff, yeah?" He asks and Shoupe glances away. "Maybe." He tells the Cameron man. "Groff was scamming with Hollis this entire time, alright? If you ask me, it was probably Groff that killed her, not... him." Rafe explained as he gestured over at JJ.

Jake honestly feels like Hell must've froze over, the fact that Rafe was defending JJ. "Did you already think that? Yeah, Groff probably killed Genrette too. And that body... the body in the dunes? You got that on Groff?" He asked now as Kie glanced at Jake, who looks over at her. "Listen, you can bring these lowlifes in for some vandalism, disturbing the peace bullshit, or you can get the big fish. These guys know where Groff is." He said and Shoupe looks around at the group of seven teens.

"Yeah?" He asks. "Where is he?" He looks at John B. "Out of your jurisdiction, Shoupe." The Routledge looks at him. "Way out." Kie says, both hands on her hips. "Try out the country." Pope says, glancing up. "We were on our way to go get him, and then you showed up." John B now says. "In that?" Shoupe pointed at the boat. "No. That." Rafe said as he then pointed at a bigger boat out in the water.

"They know where he is, and I can get them there, alright, but they can't do shit if they're all locked up." Rafe tells the officer. "And just let them go? No thanks. I tell you what, here's what we're gonna do. You come with me, and you tell me where Groff is, and I guarantee it, we'll go easy on you. Hell, your charges may disappear. Quid pro quo, you ever heard of that?" Shoupe now asked the Maybank.

"Just like you did when I was framed for a murder I didn't commit?" John B asked him. "Think about it. Hollis, dead. Genrette, dead. Downtown's trashed. You're on the chopping block. Okay? I hear what people are saying about you, alright? You're gonna lose your job. It's game over, man." Rafe continues to try and convince the police officer.

"Unlesd you bring the killer to justice all by your lonesome. So, what's it gonna be? I mean, some bullshit charges on these low-rent Pogues who didn't do shit?" He goes on. "He's got a point." Cleo agreed. "Or you solve the crime of the century. And you save your job." Rafe tells him. "You know, you're sounding a lot like your old man. And that's not a compliment. Now I'm getting corned by another friggin' Cameron here?" Shoupe gestures to him. "Okay, then, added bonus." Rafe walks over, "when we get back, and you got Groff locked up, I'll tell you what happened last summer on the runway. When you found me out there on the tarmac? The real deal, alright? I know you wanna know." He tells the man.

"You know what I want to know? I wanna know about another little runway incident from a while back. How about that?" He's asked and Rafe just backs away a bit before nodding. "All I'm saying is that all this would look really good for an elected official in the hot seat. You know? Get it all wrapped up in one package." He said as John B walks over to them.

"How about this? We find Groff... call you." He looks at Shoupe. "He's all yours." In the distance, there's sirens. "I eat shit either way. Alright. Yeah, you're welcome." He decided. "Go on, before the cavalry gets here." He tells the group of teens who walk past him. "Get out of here." The group all follow after Rafe. "I'm glad to have you out of my hair anyway! You better find his ass, or I will hunt you down!" The man shouted after the group.
