The Lost Alpha Princess

Chapter 11

Kane's POV

I couldn't believe what I just heard it made me sick to my stomach especially as I had only just found Summer and I couldn't imagine my life without her in it already, I need to calm down and remember what the Moon Goddess told me last night. It was taking everything in me not to barge through that door and kill the motherfucker but I needed to remember the plan. So I closed my eyes and took a few really deep breaths and remembered the visit I got just before I fell asleep thinking about Summer.

....FLASHBACK TO LAST NIGHT....

My eyes were just about to close when a bright light caught my attention and I knew straight away what was happening, the moon goddess Selene was coming to speak with me again. I squinted against the bright white light until it faded and before me stood the Moon Goddess herself for the third time in my life "Kane my child the time has come for me to say a final farewell but also my final warning to you." she said in her sing song voice.

"Is her birthday really tomorrow?" I ask feeling nervous and afraid for our Princess. "It is but tomorrow you must not intervene until Gregory has left do you understand, this is the most important time for her and she must face it alone so I am not asking or even telling. I am commanding you do not intervene when Gregory is here, I have never commanded anyone before but this is the most important part for your Princess." she said in a soft but stern tone.

I look at the Moon Goddess and say "I can do that, it's not as if she will be completely alone she has her wolf Selene." she looks at me softly before saying "I'm afraid not my child her wolf will be with me preparing to receive the powers within me." I look at her wide eyed and shocked thinking for a second how cruel she was being but that thought went straight away because I know deep down she wouldn't be doing this if it wasn't necessary. I also knew the Princess could handle this I don't know why I just got the feeling that she was strong enough, and when this is over she will have me and if me and Felix are right her true mate soon enough.

"I must go now I will visit the Princess to explain why her wolf has left her temporarily." she says before she started to fade "Wait... What is her name the Princess, she doesn't know it and I know she wants to." I look down before continuing "Can't I at least give her that piece of the puzzle, after everything she's been through don't you at least think she deserves something?" I ask looking at her with hopeful eyes, she looks at me with a stern expression before it softens and she sigh's "It's a little earlier than it's meant to be but yes she does deserve something maybe a little HOPE will help her and everyone around her!" she says with a knowing smile before completely fading away in front of my eyes.

I open my eyes and I'm a lot calmer now, I remember when the Moon Goddess gave me her name it was defiantly the right name for what she will be and bring to every creature on this planet Hope.

Hope's POV

I'm looking at Gregory's mate who looks like she has taken her last breath and I don't know what I'm meant to be feeling right now, all I know is I can't seem to take my eyes off of her although I can feel Gregory staring at me. I won't look at him I can't I don't want to see his expression, his Mates face twisted in pain and fear is enough. Finally I tear my eyes away from her as my mouth fills up with the meagre breakfast and stomach acid and I rush over to the toilet to empty my mouth.

I can hear Gregory sigh and he stands up and says "Well that was a disappointing reaction, but let this be a warning Princess you're either going to be my mate willingly or you will die miserably." he finishes and points to his mate I turn to glare at him. I quickly try to hide my anger and disgust and I think I do as I put on my doe eyes and Gregory sighs once more, "I'll get someone to clean this up it is obviously making you uncomfortable and I need you ready for your Luna/marking ceremony tomorrow.".

"Oh and if you didn't already figure it out watching my true mate die with me was my Birthday present to you little Princess, it's to show you just how serious I am about you being my mate and the exact lengths I will go to, to insure everything goes my way." He sneers at me as he turns on his heels and walks away leaving me with his poor mate who's name I never even learnt.

After a few moments the same guard that brought me breakfast comes down and picks up the now limp and lifeless body of Gregory's mate before lifting her over his shoulder and walking out without even looking at me, that's when I feel something wet drop on my hand so I lift it to my face and feel tears I didn't even know were falling.

When did I start crying I think to myself then for no reason I burst out laughing, you know the kind, manacle and crazy. The tears make a quick return when I'm about to talk to Selene only to remember that she's not with me anymore and I realise just how screwed I really am, then I remember what the voice said earlier and that's when the meaning of it really hit me.

The strength I need right now is the strength to escape without the help of Selene, I know I'm physically strong enough but I need to prove I'm mental strong and smart enough. If all I've been told is really the truth then I need to be prepared to fight for everything I want and right now that is my freedom above all else, and that's when the decision was made. I will fight and I will be both mentally and physically strong enough to do this, for some reason I believe as long as I stick with Kane I'm on the right path. I just have to have faith that this is what and how my life was meant to be, and with that thought I jump up and go shower.

Kane's POV

I can't believe everything I've just heard from Gregory but it defiantly makes this more important and worth while, I will get Hope out of here and I will tell her, her name. When the guard comes to get the woman's body I take that opportunity to re-loop the camera's ready for when Gregory leaves which shouldn't be to much longer, if I remember correctly he will be going home to some whore for the night.

Even at a young age he was a man whore being the youngest Beta ever gets you a lot of attention from a lot of people especially woman. When I get back to the torture room I wait until I hear the guard take the body away, then I switch on the radio I took from the control room so I could hear the gate guards when Gregory leaves. Now I wait, I hear Hope's shower come on and know she's getting ready I just hope that without Selene she will be strong enough to do what needs to be done to leave here.

Hope's POV

I've showered and changed and put my hair up in a bun in case I have to fight anyone, I'm currently sitting on my bed still trying to contact Selene but still with no luck. I'm so lost in thought I don't even notice Kane has entered the room and is standing in front of my cell until he clears his throat, my eye's snap up to his face which has the biggest smirk I've seen him with "Princess are you ready?" he asks in a whisper I look him straight in the eye with a determined look and give a curt nod "Do you think you will be able to fight if I need you to?" he asks while looking away as if he is embarrassed to ask me this, when he looks at me again I give another nod.

He unlocks my cell and gives me a belt that has a knife attached to it, "If you need this use it, I assume you know how to defend yourself using it?" he asks with a serious tone. I nod again before I grab my pen and paper writing "I also know how to shoot as well although I was only allowed to practice with guns that had been adapted to only shoot paint, but I never missed not once." I pass it to him and he smiles "These are a last resort." he says as he pulls two hand guns out from behind his back "We need and want to do this a quite as possible ok so no guns, unless its an absolute necessity got it?" he asks again in a serious tone.

I take the gun and check that it's loaded and then I put it in the belt as Kane handed me a spare round of bullets, with a knowing look Kane finally opens my cell and we go through to the death room and up a set of stairs. Kane indicates for us to stop and be quite as we hear footsteps walking towards the door we were just about to open, I hold my breath until the footsteps have passed and we hear a door open and close. Kane looks at me with a sympathetic smile and asks "Are you ready?" I take a deep breath to calm and centre myself before giving one final nod........
