Chapter 22

Kane's POV

I don't know what the hell I just walked in on, but Edward should be dead not looking around like he just awoke from a strange dream. I can only gape at the scene in front of me now "Wh, what the hell happened?" Edward asks clearly as confused as me right now. Before I can respond to him his eyes snap to where Hope has fallen back unconscious, his eyes snap back and forth between us before staying on Hope "Hope what did you do? Goddess please let her be ok, Kane help me get her out of this mess and onto the sofa will you?" he asks grabbing Hope and picking her up bridal style.

I suddenly snap out of my shock and rush over to him "Here give her to me....." I trail off as he hands her over and I look him up and down unsure of if he is real "You were dead less then a minute ago." I finish as I turn with Hope now in my arms. I walk her to the sofa and lay her down gently, I check her pulse and it's nice and strong. It would appear she is sleeping, and from the way she snuggles into the sofa I'd say she will be fine after some rest.

"What the hell do you mean I was dead?" Edward questions as he puts his hands on the back of the sofa, before I could give him and answer he asks "Is sh, she ok?" I give a firm nod then gesture that we should sit down. As we both take a seat Edward says again "What the hell did you mean I was dead?" I sigh at him at tell him what I saw.

....FLASHBACK TO BEFORE EDWARD WAS ATTACKED....

I put my hand on her shoulder "I know this must be so hard for you...... But it's hard for the others that have been in this from the start just like you, it may be in a different way but it's still painful for them" I finished giving her shoulder a squeeze before heading out the door to check around before we head out. I'm walking around the back when a scent catches my attention, I follow it for a few minutes and then realise it's a distraction it's just going in circles.

I run back to the house and I can smell three scents two I'm familiar with now but the third is new to me, I slowly open the door not sure what I'm going to find. I can feel Felix pacing in my mind "Hey bud situation is stressful enough, without the pacing." I say through our link and he stops immediately, but not before getting into a fighting stance. I can hear something coming from the bedroom, the smell of bl**d is really over whelming in that direction.

I creep to the bedroom door and gentle push it open, before it can fully open though there is the most animalistic roar I have ever heard before. The door falls to the ground and I see a man lying in a pool of his own blood with multiple wounds to his neck, my eyes scan the room quickly landing on a very distressed Hope and a dead Edward. I can hear her chanting "I will heal you." through the link when a sudden burst of brilliant white light fills the room around them. All I could do was watch with wide eyes and my mouth hanging open, I'm not sure if I was dreaming the sight before me.

Edwards body was literally stitching itself back together before my eyes, like his skin just started putting itself back together. Suddenly the light just vanished, like it wasn't even there and Edwards eyes opened. I was in so much shock I didn't even think to check on Hope.

....BACK TO EDWARD AND KANE AFTER THE ATTACK....

I look at Edward and shrug as I finish telling him what I know "And now we're here." he looks at me with a hint of shock, confusion and fear before his eyes drift to Hope and only fear is written over his face "HEY, she just saved your life." I bark at him causing his eyes snap to me in shock "Wait you think I'm scared of her." he scoffs at me "You couldn't be further then the truth, I'm scared for her she can heal the dead...." he stops seeing my confused expression.

Edward sighs before continuing "She is going to be more sort after then she already is if others find out, think about it a Luna that can heal death. You would never die your army would never die because she can just keep bringing them back." he finishes looking over at Hope. My eyes fall on her as my face drops at the realisation, I quickly run into the bedroom and check that she did kill the attacker and he was still dead. Just for good measure though I ripped his head off an left it in the hall, walking back into the room while Edward lifted a brow at me "Better safe then sorry." I shrugged at him.
