The Lost Alpha Princess

Chapter 13

Kane's POV

This girl standing in front of me is an absolute gift to this world, she doesn't even realise it yet I think as I look at her concentrating on taking the Beta's scent. Every step today she has shocked me with the strength she has shown and her control is like nothing I've every seen. Her parents were definitely right when they named her Hope and that's when it hits me I know her name.

"Do you think we should tell her now or when we're out of here?" Felix asks and honestly I don't know "After." a soft voice in my head says, one both me a Felix do not recognise "Selene?" it says again and I can feel Felix bowing to her "HOW?" I simply ask and she replies "Later." really faintly and I know she has gone.

I fell Felix stand as he says "WOW, did you feel that?" "Felix what was that?" I ask knowing the feeling he is talking about. "Selene has accepted that she is to be the Moon Goddess and Hope has proven herself a Queen already so Selene is now in the transition stage and she will go back to Hope soon." he explains to me "How the hell did you know all of that?" I ask in shock "Honestly I don't know I think when Selene was talking to you the Moon Goddess was giving me that information." he said sounding confused, a tap on my shoulder reminded me that Hope was here as I turned to look at her.

Hope's POV

I concentrated on the guards scent and after I had checked a few times I was sure I had it so I got to helping Kane with the blood, I noticed Kane had gone quite but it looked like he was talking to himself so I assumed he was talking with Felix. I just got on with the wiping up, when I noticed the place looked better and Kane was still clearing the same spot I walked behind him and tapped him on the shoulder as he turned to look at me I chuckled.

From the look on his face he had forgotten I was with him, I then move my arm in a circle to show that we are done I'd even stopped the guards neck from bleeding. I ripped the bottom of my shirt and stuffed it deep into the wound to stop the bleeding, When Kane looked around and his eyes finally landed on the guard he turned and gave me a triumphant huff before grabbing the guard and throwing him over his shoulder. "Lets go your going to have to get the doors and keep me covered ok?" he asked tilting his head to the door, I nod and pull the door open while getting my gun out just in case one of the guards come in from the gate.

We move around the building with Kane guiding us, he stops a minute and drops the guards body with a heavy thud that make's me flinch. "Ok this is it this is the door to the outside, you're going to stay behind me using that as a shield" he instructs pointing his thumb to the guard "You're going to lookout under my arm and your gun is to be in front of you got it?" he questions sternly.

I curtly nod and he picks up the guard again throwing him over his shoulder "Ok I don't care how you do it but get in between me and him remember gun up front" he says over his shoulder at me. I don't even have a chance to register that I'm about to step outside for the first time since well I can't remember, as if reading my mind Kane adds quickly "I know this is all new to you but you have to stay focused on me until the last two are dead and we're over Greg's boarder ok?" I tap him twice on the back to indicate I understand and with that the door fly's open.

I'm hit with fresh air for the first time I can ever remember. Kane goes to move but I have forgotten what he said and stumbled causing us both to nearly topple over, we both manage to correct ourselves as Kane softly growls "Princess." I tap him twice again as an apology and a sign that I'm ready.

As we came up to the back of the building the guards are in a, plan comes to me as I hear both guards laughing at something I grab Kane's knife from his belt. I drop the gun and grab my knife then I step out from behind Kane and step in front of the open door throwing one knife at the first guard and hitting him in the side of the head, with the knife sticking out of his skull he slumps forward.

The second guard stands looking at his partner, then as he turns to me I throw my other knife and it hits him straight in the heart. He manages to look at the knife in his heart then at me before he too falls forward, I turn to see Kane with a look of utter horror on his face as he turns to me I see him shiver.

Kane's POV

We make it to the back of the guard station at the main gate and we can hear both the guards laughing at something, before I can do anything I feel Hope slip out from behind me. I drop the Beta and spin around but the Princess has already taken out both guards I look at the bodies then back at a smirking Princess "F**k she scars me Felix, like a lot." I say to Felix as I shiver "Um yeah I kinda have nothing to say because she does me." I feel Felix shiver as he replies.

Hope's POV

Then I catch the guard I thought I killed in the toilet, he lunged at Kane from behind. But I was quicker, I bent down grabbing the gun I had dropped earlier and I shot him straight between the eyes, the bullet whizzing past Kane's head missing him by millimetres. All the colour drained from Kane's face before he realised that I wasn't aiming at him, he looked behind him before turning back to me and falling to his knees. I can tell his about to break down but we don't have time, that shot would of made a lot of noise and I don't know how far away Gregory is.
