Chapter 42

Holt's POV

Hunter's pack doctor was checking my neck for serious damage but luckily Hope's claws only just pieced the skin and it should heal in a few day's, if it was a normal wolf or a rouge it would heal in a day but Hope is anything but a normal wolf. Injury's caused by her can take days to heal, even if it's only minor. I'm not sure what is going to happen with Hope now but I really hope she will see me and our mother, I can see how much this is hurting her. She is closing herself off again, she is staring into space next to me while the doctor checks me out.

Once the doctor leaves I turn to my mum "Hey she will want to see us I promise I will fix this, I should of just told her who I was." I finish with a sigh. My mum doesn't even look at me as she questions out loud "What the hell happened to my baby?" then she covers her face with her hands and begins to sob again. I can't see her hurt but I can't be angry with Hope either, she has had it the hardest and I have to keep remembering that to keep Shadow calm.

I put my hand on her back and rub it "Mum I'm sorry I wish I could of done more and I hate myself more and more everyday, I was weak then but I'm not anymore and I will help her." I promise my mother, she turns to me before throwing her arms around me "Honey none of this is your fault and the last thing you should do is blame or hate yourself, there was nothing you could of done without being hurt and then I would of lost both of my babies!" she exclaims.

I sigh "Sorry mum I really am, I just keep messing up." I sigh "Nonsense child, you are the only reason I opened my eyes every morning for the last ten years." she say's softly yet sternly. I chuckle as we let each other go "Come lets go get some food and see if we can talk to Edward or Kane." my mother says with a small smile as she stands up and heads to the door, I get up and follow her to the kitchen.

Alpha Hunter's POV

Hope has been asleep for a while so I decide to go and speak with her family, I sniff the air as I leave my room and I can smell them strongest in the kitchen on my floor. I walk in to a tense atmosphere as Roxy is in my kitchen hardly wearing any clothes glaring at Hope's mother and brother "Roxy what the hell are you doing on my floor?" I growl out in question. Her eyes snap to me and her face goes from a glare to attempted seduction in a second, it has my stomach flipping in disgust "I asked you a question." I growled with my own glare now directed at her.

I could see her gulp and she was clearly fighting her wolf who was trying to submit to my aura but the stupid human side of Roxy refused to back down, thinking herself my equal which she most certainly was not. She fluttered her lashes at me but my face just got harder "Oh Hunter don't be like that towards your mate, I just wanted to see you baby." she attempted to purr out but she is to nasal for her to sound sexy, not like my mate. I looked at her and she was being serious and I couldn't help but burst into laughter.

Holt and Luna Amelia looked at me like I had grown two heads "You better fuck off slut, you are not his mate my sister is." Holt growled out which had me smirking at the fact he knew and nothing would change it, Roxy's eyes went from Holts to mine with pure rage in her eyes "How dare you speak to your Luna like that yo....." Holt cut her off before she could finish "MY WHAT? I'M NOT EVEN IN THIS PACK YOU STUPID WHORE, I'M PRINCE HOLT." he growls so loud I think the whole pack heard him.

It was nice to see him acting like a Prince and looking at Luna Amelia she felt the same, as for Roxy she was now cowering away from Holt's aura her wolf unable to ignore a royal wolf. I look at Holt and give him a nod, and he pulls his aura back a little allowing Roxy and her wolf to concentrate again. I look at her and with all the venom I can put into my voice I sneer "You will leave my floor immediately, and if I see or hear you again I will banish you and leave you as a rouge. DO. YOU. UNDERSTAND?" I finish saying each word slowly.

Roxy gives a small nob before running away with tears in her eyes, Holt follows her with his eyes "Please tell me you didn't sleep with that?" he questions turning his eyes to me "Once and yes I know massive mistake." I shrug knowing there is nothing I can do about it now "Huge." is Holt's reply as he shakes his head at me. I feel Heath huff "Told you not to sleep with the hoe." he states blankly. Luna Amelia clears her throat causing me and Holt to turn our attention to her, she looks down playing with her sleeves.

Her eyes flick to mine with sadness in them "When can I see her?" she asks softly, I give her a smile "As soon as she wakes up, she feels awful about what she did to you Holt but her fight or flight kicked in when you wouldn't tell her who you are." I explain giving Holt a look. He sighs heavily "I feel bad enough, not gonna lie she's scary as hell." he finished with a small chuckle. Luna Amelie chuckled "She is." she simply say's "I need to get back to her I will link Blake to come and get you when she wakes." I explain before grabbing some food and heading back to Hope.

I head back to my room and Mate just as she is starting to stir on the bed, she opens her eyes and sits up looking around frantically. My heart breaks for her again "Little Princess it's ok, you are safe now." I whisper softly while taking the food over to her on the bed. I place it down and sit next to her grabbing a plate and placing it on her lap "Eat." I simply say nodding my head to her plate "Thank you." she whispers looking down before beginning to eat.

We eat in silence for a few minutes before I break it "Your mother and brother still want to see you after you have eaten." I explain as she looks me in the eye with a hint of hope "Really, th, th, they don't hate me?" she questions. I look at her like she has and extra head "Why would they hate you?" I couldn't stop the disbelief in my tone "I, I, I hurt him" she says tears filling her eyes as she looks at her hands. I gently place my finger under her chin lifting her face up forcing her to look me in the eye "No one blames you for anything Little Mate." I say with as much conviction and honesty as I can.
