Chapter 33

Holt's POV (The day Hope save's Edward)

We arrive at Mountain Ridges territory and are greeted by a few guards "Stay in wolf form, I'll talk to them." I tell my mother and father, giving my father a pointed look telling him not to argue. I shift back to human form and approach the guards as non threateningly as possible "Good afternoon, I am Holt Snow-Peak future Alpha to the Snowpeak Pack, this is my father current Alpha Arrow and my mother Luna Amelia. Could you please inform Alpha Hunter we are here, he is expecting us." I finish explaining. The guards all lower their head and show their necks in a sign of submission, I give them a small smile of thanks "Please could you direct us to your pack house?" I ask them.

One of the guards clears his throat "There is no need our Beta has been sent to escort you, he should be here any minute." he says with respect to which I give a slight nod. True to his word not twenty seconds later a man comes running through the trees towards us, all of the guards stand a little taller hoping to be notice by this man.

As he approaches he extends his hand for me to shake "Future Alpha Holt." he greets me "I am Beta Blake, Alpha Arrow, Luna Amelia it is a pleasure to meet you all." he says turning his attention to them "If you would all follow me I will take you to our Alpha, Holt would you like some clothes?" he questions me.

I look down at myself in my nudity "No I have clothes here." I respond shaking my head at myself before grabbing something to wear, Beta Blake and I make a bit of small talk but that's it as we head to the pack house. It doesn't take long for us to reach it and I must say I am impressed, it is bright and neat with beautiful flowers everywhere.

Especially the Iris' there are so many different colours I didn't know they came in so many, they're Hope's favourite flower. We stop so my mother and father can shift and get dressed so I take the chance to look at my sisters favourite flower I can't believe the amount that are here, is this some kind of sign that I'm in the right place I wonder as we walk up the steps.

As we walk in I get a feeling I haven't had for a very long time, it's a weird feeling and hard to explain. It's like butterfly's and wasp's are flying around in my stomach, I only used to get that feeling when Hope was around and she was getting herself in trouble. It used to be her excitement and her fear of getting caught that I was feeling back when she was around, but like I said I haven't felt that feeling for a long time in fact not since Hope was taken. Beta Blake leads us up a grand staircase and along a corridor to a set of ornate wooden doors, he gives a swift knock on the door before we hear "COME IN." from inside.

As we walk in the man behind the desk looks up and instantly stands with a smile, he walks around his desk hand extended to shake ours. He approaches my father first "Alpha Snow-Peak, welcome." he then turns to my mother "Luna Snow-Peak wonderful to meet you." he say's before placing a soft kiss on the back of her hand.

He then turns to me and grasps my hand in a tight grip "Future Alpha Snow-Peak pleasure." he says his grip getting a bit tighter trying to show his dominance right off the bat. I smirk at him and grip just as tight not prepared to back down, he matched my smirk with one of his own.

My father clears his throat "Ok boys I think that's enough dick measuring for one day." he says with a chuckle, we both look in each others eyes before cracking up with laughter ourselves and giving each other a firm slap on the back. "Please take a seat everyone, we have a lot to talk about" Alpha Mount-Ridge says as he re-takes his seat behind the desk. My mother sits in a chair in front of the desk and my father does the same, I take the sofa just to the side it's then I notice that Beta Blake has left and closed the door behind him.

Alpha Mount-Ridge cleared his throat "Luna Snow-Peak would you like a refreshment?" he looked at my mother and asked first, she giggled a little "Yes please a coffee would be great, and please call me Amelia. No need for such formalities, not when you are freely offering help." she responded sweetly. He then directs his gaze over to my father and I "Gentlemen can I offer you anything?" he asked. We both responded at the same time "Coffee please Alpha Mount-Ridge." and like my mother before he smirks and says "Please call me Hunter." my father looks at him "Arrow." is the only word he says but Hunter knows what it means, I nob my head "Holt." I say.

After speaking in his office Alpha Hunter fed us dinner and showed us each to our rooms, my parents being across the hall from me. All through dinner I had that feeling again and it kept my mind drifting off to past memories, things I locked away a long time ago but now they are just popping up at random.

I'm currently lying in bed unable to sleep because as the day has gone on the feeling in my stomach has got a lot stronger, it's so strong that I'm starting to think Hope is near. Then I remember I'm no closer to finding her today than I was yesterday, I turn on my side with that final thought I fall asleep, only to relive the night Hope was taken in my dreams.
