Chapter 60

Hope/Selene's POV

"Oh Gage just as stupid as your human I see, now how about I finish what you started." we say smirking at a shocked Gage. Everyone in our pack steps back, including Hunter and from the look on Gage's face he doesn't miss the fact. He looks at me again and I can't help the smirk on my face but suddenly he roared and shifted, I continued to smirk at him. He growled and licked his muzzle, drool dripping on the ground. He started stalking towards me slowly, and I just waited for him to make the first move.

Hunter's POV

As hard as it was I stepped away leaving Hope/Selene to deal with this themselves, this is their fight now and they will make sure it's finished. Gage had shifted and was slowly stalking towards them, Hope/Selene just waited for him to make his move. He lunged at her and still in her human form she jumped straight over his back landing gracefully behind him, she turns as he does and they look each other in the eye. Hope/Selene still has a smirk on her face while Gage is still growling, he lunges for her again and she does the same move.

Only this time she shifts mid air and lands on all fours spinning around, as Gage turns he is shocked to see her shifted and he hesitates. This gives Hope/Selene a chance to jump on his back, her teeth grab on to the back of his neck and as he manages to shake her off she pulls a chunk of flesh off with her. She spits it to the ground while Gage roars in pain and anger, she jumps at him again but he manages to catch her hind leg as he dodges her attack.

Hope/Selene winces slightly in pain but they are soon focused again, this time Gage and Hope/Selene lunge at the same time. They both rear up onto their hind legs and hit each other head on, they are both snapping chucks off each other. Gage is a lot stronger than I thought, but I still can't get involved Hope/Selene made sure of that when she made it a fight to the death.

Hope's POV

Gage is a lot stronger than Selene or I thought but we are still not giving up, we hit each other head on both on our hind legs snapping at each others necks. There are growls and chucks of flesh flying around, and still neither of us are going down. I see an opening and I take it, latching my teeth around Gages jugular "Submit or die" I link him. He chuckle/gurgles "Never Princess, you will have to kill me." he links back. I looked into his eyes and saw nothing but pure evil, so I did exactly what he told me to. I snapped my jaw shut tighter and with one hard shake Gage's neck snapped, and he fell lifeless hanging out of my mouth.

I release my jaws and let Gage's body hit the floor, I shift back and grab a shirt that was next to me. As I was putting it on Hunter ran over to me growling at anyone that looked at me, I turned to the rouges still being held by the tree roots. I took a breath before addressing them all "You all have a choice surrender to us and explain your story, we will try to help you or.... You fight us now and die, we will not be taking prisoners so the choice is yours. Life and help or, death." I say using me Alpha tone. Some of the rouges whimper and I already know that they are the ones that will ask for help, but there are others that are still growling at me "I will release the roots and when I do those who don't wish death step back and sit down, keep you hands in you lap otherwise step forward and fight." I finish.

I then turn to our pack "Any of you that don't want to fight now can help gather those who surrender, I want no harm to come to any of them unless they attack understood?" I question to which they all nod, I look back at the rouges "Those of us that are fighting shift now, but do not attack until they do. Those helping step back and go around us, I want at least four fighter wolves protecting those helping and those surrendering." I finish to our pack howling in agreement.

I shift "Remember do not attack until they do, those of you in human form are you clear of the fighting area?" I question through the link "Yes Alpha." I get linked back "Ok everyone be ready I am releasing the roots now." I say giving Hunter one last look before calling the tree roots to go back to their proper place, the rogues wishing to surrender did as told and stepped back.

Once they were clear they sat down with their heads in their knees waiting for help, the rest were shifting getting ready to fight. There was one rouge that was obviously now in-charge, he looked at me whilst licking his muzzle and growling. He howled and the fight begun, I was taking rouges out left and right. I could sense someone trying to sneak up on me, I realised it was the one in-charge. As he went to jump on my back I side stepped and he hit the ground hard, causing the air to leave his lungs.

He stood up and growled at me again, I licked the blood off my muzzle as I smirked at him. He ran at me and I him, as he jumped at me I slid under him and using my claws I dragged them down his belly as I slid under him. His inside fell from his stomach before he hit the floor, once he was down I noticed there was only two rouges left and they were being taken care of. Once they fell I realised there was no one left fighting, I finally collapsed from the exhaustion of using my powers and fighting.

Selene took a step back in my mind and I could feel myself shift back to my human form, Selene must of been tired and went to rest "Hey you good Sel?" I linked in concern "I'm fine just need rest, we used a lot of power the last few days." she says with a yawn. I decide to just let her sleep, so don't answer her. I feel someone placing a shirt over my head, it's only because of the tingles I know it is Hunter as I can't keep my eyes open. He kisses my forehead "Sleep little one you have used a lot of power and energy today and yesterday, we will put those who surrendered in the dining room with guards. I'll make sure they are given clean clothes, and a good meal." he says in my ear before darkness consumes me.
