Chapter 37

Alpha's Hunter's POV

As we walk towards the pack house my mate snuggles closer into my chest and from the sound of her breathing she is asleep, as we head to my office my suspicion is confirmed when a small snore comes from my mate. As I look down at her sleeping form I realise she looks exactly the same as she did in my dream, I'm still staring at her when I round the corner and almost run into someone. I reluctantly look away from my mate into the eyes of Roxy, who looks from me to my mate and then back at me with a sneer.

Kane takes a protective stance next to me "What's with the sleeping baby?" Roxy scoffs looking over to Kane with a smirk "I know she's not your mate the other bossy bitch is." she finishes rolling her eyes. Both Kane and I growl at her at the same time, Roxy's eyes light up as if she's just figured something out "WAIT, she's not your bit on the side is she?" she questions looking Kane in the eye. I feel the man that arrived with Kane and my mate step up to my other side "I believe if anyone here is a bit on the side it would be you." he says to Roxy looking her up and down.

Before Roxy can say a work he continues "Your stench of desperation is so evident it has become part of your natural smell, now if you will excuse us we have important things to discuss and you Miss are certainly not one of them." he them turns to me "Apologies Alpha." I have to hold in the laugh that wants to burst from my gut. I take a quick but shallow breath so I don't disturb my sleeping mate and turn to the man "No apology needed." I then turn to Roxy and growl lowly "If you ever speak about my mate like that again you will wish I banished you instead of doing what I actually will." and with that I step past her and continue to my office. Leaving her wide eyed and open mouthed, I hope she gets the message and backs off now.

Roxy's POV

"If you ever speak about my mate like that again you will wish I banished you instead of doing what I actually will" Hunter growled at me before walking away with that loser brother and that old man, I can't react quick enough to what Hunter just said and by the time I realise what he said they have already gone into his office and shut the door. I stand there staring at the now closed door and I can feel my blood boiling.

"Did he really just tell me that little bitch is his mate and threaten me?" I question my wolf with a slight growl "Haha serves you right, did you really think that if you rejected your mate Hunter would be your second chance. Proves just how dumb you are, the rejecter doesn't get a second chance mate only the rejected do." I feel my wolf reply with a scoff while rolling her eyes.

I growl at her "But you never told me that did you, no you stupid wolf if you had I wouldn't of rejected Blake." I finish with a huff, I feel her growl in response "YOU FUCKING BLOCKED ME, I TRIED TO WARN YOU THIS IS ON YOU." I feel her roar at me before she takes a breath and says "You know what I'm done with you, when the new Moon Goddess is ready I'll ask her to separate our souls so I can go to another human." she finishes before blocking me off to the point I can barely feel her at all, I look back to the office doors 'This is you fault Hunter if you could of just accepted me then this wouldn't be happening, I will make you pay for this.' I think before I walk back to my room.

Alpha Hunter's POV

Kane slams the door to my office and he can't hold his laughter in any longer, which nearly has me doubling over but I refuse to disturb my mate still snuggled into my chest. Kane takes a breath "Edward that was brilliant." he says slapping I now know Edward on the shoulder, Edward gives him a look "Kane this is not the time to fool around." he finishes nodding towards my mate causing a low growl to escape my chest.

All our eyes snap to my mate making sure I didn't just wake her, there are no signs of movement other than her chest as she breaths. I walk over to my couch and gently place her on it, as I go to step away she whimpers slightly so I sit on the edge just in front of her with my hand holding hers. Kane takes this opportunity to sit in my chair behind my desk, Edward ops for the chair in front on my desk. Kane looks at me with a smirk but right now I don't care that his in my seat I want information on this beautiful woman laying beside me.

I give her one last quick glance before turning my attention to the two men who brought her here "Kane you will explain everything, but first I would like to know more about how you are involved and on that note who you are exactly." I say directing my gaze to Edward, he gulps and looks at Kane "You weren't wrong were you, he will make a fine Alpha." he says before looking back at me. I can only glance between him and my smirking brother in confusion.

Kane chuckles "Brother I always knew you were the slower one but man have you gotten slower since I left." he says "What the h**l are you talking about Kane?" I question him angrily, he looks me in the eyes before shaking his head at me "Did you not hear me when I said Gregory had her?" he questions looking into my eyes intently. I stare back for a few seconds as my brain catches up "Is he saying she is the Alpha Princess?" I question Heath, I feel him scoff in response "God you really are slow on the up take, look at her you f**king moron." he finishes before cutting our link.

My eyes drift to my beautiful mate before widening in shock, I flick my eyes to both Kane and Edward before looking back at this tiny woman sleeping soundly next to me. I can't even form a sentence so I just look up at the two men in front of me again to see them both nodding gently "You better start talking." I say looking at Edward. He takes a deep breath and then looks at my mate like he loves her, I have to fight hard to not lose control of my wolf as he begins to explain.

Edward's POV

Not many normal Alpha's can intimidate me but this Alpha in front of me isn't a normal Alpha he was born to be the Alpha King I can feel it and I think Hope can too, that's why she was comfortable enough to fall asleep in his arms. I can't even imagine what's going through her head, I wasn't expecting to see my Alpha, Luna and future Alpha here but the Goddess works in mysterious ways.

I take a final deep breath before explaining who I really am "Well as you know my is Edward and I was the Head Warrior for the Snow Peak Pack and the Alpha and Luna you have staying here are my Alpha and Luna, I also really think they should be here to hear what both Kane and I have to say." I finish to a shocked looking Alpha. Alpha Hunter regards me for a second "Ok but I don't want my mate upset and unfortunately the Alpha and Luna seem to make her feel so, so what do you suggest we do with her?" he questions me with a hint of suspicion.

I look at Kane and then back to the Alpha "How about you put her in your room with her brother and your brothers mate, and a couple of guards outside." I suggest to him, again he looks a bit shocked "Shouldn't her brother be here for this as well?" he questions "No he should hear it from her in detail as should you, but I will give you the extremely short version." Kane says with sadness in his tone. The Alpha whips his gaze to his brother before sighing in defeat "Ok I will take her to our room Kane you go and get Holt and Summer and bring them to her, Edward you go with him and get your Alpha and Luna and also ask my Beta to join us will you?" he asks looking at us both, we give him a nod as he picks up Hope and starts to carry her away.
