Chapter 79

Hunter's POV

Hope is worried I won't be able to control Heath and to be honest I'm worried myself, I actually agree that her Alpha command will help with that. I look at Hope and I can see the fear in her expression "Hope I agree with you and will do what you feel is best, this is your show and I'm following your lead." I say softly holding her chin with my finger and thumb.

I place a soft kiss on her lips and give her a nod that I really am ok with this, she sighs and looks around nervous "What if I only use it if I really need to, I have faith in you but I have also now met the two my Father warned us about. I want to be prepared with a solid plan, but only just in case." she says quickly.

I can't help but look at my mate with awe in my expression, she really is something special and I'm so glad I get to stand by her side through this. I take a breath "If that's what you want I will do it, as I said I will follow your lead." I say pulling her into my side and placing a gentle kiss to her temple. I hear her sigh "The rest of the Council members should be here now, they should be getting settled in and the meeting starts in a bit." I say knowing we need to head inside, she nods against my chest and we both head into the meeting room with my arm wrapped around her waist.

Hope's POV

As we enter the conference room I take a few deep breaths, I look around and see that everything has been set up as I asked. All the Super Naturals had different food and drinks, so I made sure to get them all I want everyone to be comfortable while here. I made the kitchen staff learn a few meals from each species, to make sure they had a choice over the next couple of days they are here. Hunter and I take our seats at the table and wait for the Council representatives to arrive, all too soon they started to arrive and get themselves refreshments before sitting in their allocated seats.

We tried to sit the ones that got along together so with the help of my Father we set up a seating plan, everyone seemed happy with where they were seated. Well everyone but Samantha and Stephan, who I purposely sat next to each, when they looked over to me I kept my expression neutral. Once everyone was comfortable my Father stood up "Good morning everyone, thank you for coming here to discuss everything." he said with a forced smile. He looks over at everyone "If you would all like to introduce yourselves, Hope why don't you start?" he finishes looking at me with a reassuring smile.

I stand up and clear my throat "Thank you all for coming, my name is Hope Snow-peak. As you all know I am Alpha Arrows daughter, it is a pleasure to met you all." I say with as much confidence as I can muster, Hunter is squeezing my hand under the table reassuringly. I re-take my seat and Hunter stands "Hello and welcome, I am Alpha Hunter Mount Ridge of the Mountain Ridge pack." he says with much more confidence than me. He sits back down and one by one everyone stands and introduces themselves to Hunter and I, once the introductions are out of the way we start the meeting.

Stephan's POV

I see Hope with a neutral expression once the introductions were over and the meeting started, I couldn't take my eyes off her. She should of been mine and yet she was sitting next to that mutt Mate of hers, to add insult they sat me next to the hybrid witch/wolf Samantha Black.

This woman always was a power hungry slut, but it was hot when Hope took her down a peg. I was admiring her for a while before this b***h turned up and tried causing trouble, so when Hope bit back I was fascinated by her. I mean I was always fascinated by her, but when I saw her in person she took my breath away. If my heart did beat, it would of stopped the second I saw her.

Samantha's POV

I can't believe they put me next to the fucking bloodsucker, and I still can't figure out how she knew who I was. I'm not wrong about her she should not be Queen to anyone, she is not stronger than me I managed to sneak up on her in the gardens. The mighty Queen didn't see or sense me coming, shame I didn't just slit her throat or snap her neck.

The meeting is underway and everyone is discussing their concerns, I haven't been paying attention but when the lizard started talking I switched back into the meeting. I caught the end of what he said "How about a challenge? Into submission of course." that had my head snapping to attention.

Hope's POV

Everyone has been voicing their concerns and most of them we have already sorted out, then Blaze Grey the Dragon shifter clears his throat "No offence 'Princess' but you don't look like much of a fighter, so how do we respect someone weaker than us?" he questions in my opinion quite fairly. I do almost chuckle but Hunter growling distracts me, my eyes snap to him "Will you stop that!" I link him. He huffs "Sorry." he links back. I look back to Blaze who now has a smirk on his face, I match it with one of my own "That is a fair question Mr Grey, how would you like to answer it?" I ask him innocently.

He looks at me and his smirk grows "How about a challenge? Into submission of course." he says looking at Hunter now to see his reaction. He does not look happy until I say "Of course, into submission. I assume we can win by any means necessary, well until the other submits that is." I finish. Now Hunter has a smirk of his own, he knows what I'm thinking without me saying anything to him. Blaze looks between us and sees both our faces now wearing a smirk, for a second I see uncertainty in his expression before it changes to one of determination.

I look around the room and notice all eyes are flicking between Blaze and I as we wait for his answer, he takes a breath "Any means necessary sounds fine to me." he answers trying to sound confident but I can tell he is anything but looking at Hunter and I's faces. I chuckle "Ok how about we take a break, we will give you a tour of the house and grounds. We can have lunch and the challenge early this evening before dinner, we can resume the meeting tomorrow to iron out any other concerns." I say addressing everyone.

"Will you be staying here or going to your parents pack if you are Crowned?" Melissa the Witch asks. I look at her "We will be building on land in between." I explain "That sound's like a brilliant idea, and will the pack be joining you?" she ask looking at Hunter "Those who want to follow are more than welcome, but I will be handing the Alpha position to my brother Kane and his mate Summer." he explains.

This seems to satisfy Melissa because she doesn't say anything else, just gives us a nod and a smile. I look around the table "Any other questions before the tour?" I ask and everyone shakes their heads. Well all except Samantha and Stephan who refused to look up from their laps, I stood up and so did everyone else. We all start to file out of the room and Hunter and I give everyone a quick tour allowing the chefs time to prepare lunch, at about one thirty we head to the dining hall and enjoy our lunch.

Once everyone is fed and happy I clear my throat to get their attention "Ladies and Gentlemen please feel free to do what ever you wish for the next couple of hours, we will meet in the main hall at four thirty where you will all be shown to our fighting area. The challenge will commence at five and dinner will be served after, we will host it in the garden so please enjoy this free time and excuse me." I say standing up along with Hunter.

Before I can move everyone else at the table stands, well all except Samantha again. I turn and leave walking out of the hall to the sounds of angry voices arguing over Samantha's disrespect, I decide not to get involved. I want to spend a few hours with my Mate, before I have to use my powers to show them who I am. I just hope it is as simple and I think it is going to be, hopefully my plan works because if not I don't even want to think about the outcome.

When we get to our room Hunter shuts the door and locks it, before turning to me "I don't know whether to be completely pissed that you have agreed to fight a dragon shifter, or completely turned on with the fact you are challenging a dragon shifter!" he says throwing his hands in the air. I look him in the eye with an eyebrow raised "Are you doubting me Mate?" I ask in a hurt tone, he looks nervous for a second and I can't help but burst out laughing.

Hunter looks at me like I have grown a second head, which makes me laugh harder. Hunter growls playfully at me before launching himself at me and pinning me to the wall "Are you mocking me Little Mate?" he growls playfully at me before crashing his lips into mine and picking me up wrapping my legs around his waist.

He steps back from the wall and holds me up by my bum cheeks, he walks us over to the bed before throwing me onto it making me squeal. Before I can say or do anything Hunter rips my shirt open, causing the buttons to fly across the room. He then rips my skirt straight down the middle, leaving me in my underwear and Hunter growling.
