Chapter 56

Hope's POV

It was late when I eventually woke up and the sun had gone down hours ago, Hunter was curled up against my back with his arms wrapped around me. He was sleeping peacefully and I really didn't want to wake him but I needed to pee and I was starving, I hadn't eaten since this morning. I did feel good though my brothers idea to share their energy was a really big help, I am worried I may have drained them all though which will not be good for tomorrow. I try to wiggle out of Hunters arms as I can't hold my bladder any more, his arms just tightened as he nuzzled deeper into the back of my neck.

I giggled and lifted my shoulders to stop the little tickles from his breath, he huffed when I started wiggling again "Will you stay still woman." he huffed out with a husky morning voice, it caused a shiver to travel down my spine. He spun me around in his arms and looked at me through one open eye while the other remained closed "Sorry I need the bathroom and then food." I whined before he could say anything. As soon as he realised what I had said he released me jumped up and grabbed me again, lifting me up bridal style as he carried me to the bathroom.

He gently put me on the plush rug in the middle of the room, he pecked my nose "Do what you need to do, I'll get some food for us." he said before pecking my nose again and running out to grab food. I sighed in contentment "How about we complete the bond tomorrow night after the battle?" Selene links nervously, I can't help but chuckle "Did you read my subconscious or something, I was already thinking about it." I replied honestly.

Selene's ears perk up "Really, you're really ready?" she questions eagerly "Yes really." I laugh. Selene gives out a contented sigh this time "Thank you Hope, I'm not sure how much longer Heath can hold back. If he came forward then...." she trailed off and to be honest I don't want to know, because I have no doubt she means she would of followed Heaths lead and I would definitely be marked and mated ready or not.

I finish off in the bathroom and head back to our bedroom, as I look at the bed I see Hunter with a tray of food and as if on cue my stomach does the loudest growl indicating what it thought of the sight. Hunter chuckled while patting the bed for me to join him, I walked over but my eyes never left the food.

Hunter noticed because he put his hand to his chest holding his heart "You have never looked at me like that." he said with mock hurt. I decided to play with him "That's because you have never looked that good." I say waving a hand over the food. He chuckled again "Ouch Princess you wound me." he says falling back clutching his chest pretending his heart had stopped.

At this point I was sitting on the bed with the tray on my lap, so I no longer cared for this game. I shrug my shoulder's at him and start digging into the food, suddenly Hunters head popped up on my side of the bed with a pout "Guess you do love food more than me." he huffed.

I couldn't help the chuckle that left my lips, causing me to choke on the food in my mouth. Hunter quickly jumped up and patted my back lightly when I started coughing, once I calmed down and with no more food in my mouth I started laughing and so did Hunter "Sorry." he said wrapping his arms around me. I looked at him "It's fine but try not to kill me again." I said with mock sternness.

When I had finished eating the sun was starting to rise, Hunter looked at me with a smirk "Come on I want to show you something." he said offering me his hand. We were both still in yesterdays clothes "Can I change first?" I ask as we head towards the door. Hunter stops and turns to me "You won't need to we're going for a quick run, we can change when we get back." I gave him a nod and we started heading out again.

We left through the back of the pack house and headed to the forest at the end of the gardens, I head behind a tree to strip while Hunter starts where his standing. Once I have shifted we head back over to Hunter and rub down his side Selene is purring as is Heath, Hunter looks at me "Follow me." he links before spinning around and running off.
