Chapter 74

Hope's POV

It's been weeks since I've been here and I am weak, so weak I haven't been able to lift my head the last few days and I haven't been able to move my body for longer. Selene has been using her powers to keep the twins safe, and I only know they are because of the occasional kick I feel from them. We have been using our healing power to keep my body healthy for the twins, but they still have two weeks before they are born. I'm so tired I literally can not move, I'm only awake for a couple of hours a day.

I've managed to find a small drip so have been able to have some water, but with no food my body is starting to give up and soon no amount of healing will help me. If Hunter doesn't find us soon I'm scared what will happen, I have been talking to my babies whenever I'm awake it's the only thing keeping me sane. Selene stopped talking days ago as well, she needs to concentrate on the twins and I completely understand. Doesn't mean I'm not lonely though, with nothing but my thoughts oh and let's not forget the smell.

With two rotting bodies and no bath room, the smell in here is a little overwhelming and my sense's have stopped working because of it. I don't know what will happen, but this time I think I will end up giving up hope. I can sense Selene is starting to, and I know once she does that will be it. I won't be able to cope on my own and if we both give up we won't be able to keep the twins safe anymore, I start to feel dizzy at that thought and I know I'm about to lose consciousness again "I love you babies, and I'm so sorry." I say before everything goes black.

Summer's POV

I can't believe we forgot those small details, but the stress of the last few weeks. Still if we hadn't Hope could of been home weeks ago, Yasmin was a great help and as Hunter ran off she watched confused. I walked up to her and bent down "Sweetie you have just confirmed where the Luna may be, the Alpha needs to start planning that's why he ran off like that. You did so good, we will tell you first if we find her." I say softly. She thinks for a minute "No I will come with you to plan and I can play with KJ so you can focus on the plan." she says with determination written all over her face, I can't say no so I stand up and hold my hand out for her.

Hunter's POV

I can't believe I was so dumb, why didn't I search just outside my territory. If I had I would of found her, I'm so stupid but what were the chance's they would stay so close when they were using transportation spells. When everyone is settled I jump straight in "We have a really viable lead and we will be leaving to check it out soon, I want all warriors and trackers out front and ready to go in five. We are going to get our Luna back today, be ready." I finish dismissing everyone.

I turn to Kane "Go to the doctor and help get whatever he will need, we leave in ten make sure he has everything." I instruct him and he is already leaving. I turn to Hope's best friends "Girls get the Luna's hospital room ready, make sure her clothes are in there and things that are familiar." I tell them as they are running out of the door.

I see Yasmin following close behind clinging to Blaire's hand, I look at everyone else "Five minutes is up, let's move." I say getting up and heading out the door. It seems to take hours to get back to the camp but I know it isn't, as soon as we pull up I'm out of the car before it has even fully stopped. I'm sniffing but I can't sense her but then I hear it "Please save us, we don't have long." it was a whisper and it sounded like a little girl. Then I heard "Please we need you." that time it was a little boy. For a second I thought, but it can't be "It is." Heath links "Now move." he adds with a growl.

I snap out of my trance "Doctor be ready, I don't know what state she is going to be in." I call to Doctor Quinn, who runs up beside me ready for whatever we find. I turn to my warriors "Everyone spread out search the area, make sure it is clear." I instruct before turning and running for the cave. The doctor, my brother, Hope's brother and a few warriors are close behind me. When we enter the cave the smell of death is so overwhelming, it makes all our eyes water but I push past it.

I never expected what I saw, lying in pools of dried blood were Roxy and Jade the witch. Both bodies had started to decay and that explained the smell, when I looked up my heart stopped and I mean it stopped. Lying with her back to us was Hope curled up on her side, you could see every bone under her skin and she didn't look like she was breathing. I ran to the bodies and searched for a key and found it, I unlocked the cage and burst through not caring about the silver. I bent down and heard it, it was slow and hardly audible but it was still there her heart was still beating.

I scooped her up in my arms and she weighs nothing, she was purely skin and bones except for her stomach that was nice and round. The skin was so tight I could see every movement, and I knew she had done all she could to keep the twins safe. Now it was my turn to keep all three of them safe, I gently lift her and take her out of the cage.

I don't know what changed but she had a little colour return to her grey skin, the cage must of blocked her using her powers outside her body. The fact the twins were safe told me she could use it internally, Doctor Quinn came running over to check her and the twins. Once he gave the ok and had her hooked up to an IV drip we took her home to heal.
