Chapter 68

Hope's POV

I head down to the ball room to double check on everything, and it is perfect more than I expected now all the daffodils are in place. As we are using gold tones outside I wanted yellow in, and daffodils were the flowers I liked the most and lucky for me they had just bloomed. I decided I would skip breakfast to check on the garden, I could eat at the Ceremony.

When I stepped into the garden my breath caught in my throat, it was the most beautiful thing I have seen. Since I have been asleep someone has strung up lantern lights around the whole garden, and they are testing to check they all work. I know that when the sun sets they will make a magnificent view, everything was ready and I saw that everyone was heading towards the ball room to take their seats.

I followed the crowd and as I walked I could hear them whispering, they were looking around "Did you see the garden and pool area, they look stunning." "I know I've never seen the pack house look so beautiful, Luna did amazing with only two days notice." I could hear them saying to each other as they took their seats.

I couldn't hide my blush as I walked past and was greeted with smiles, waves and hello's. I made it to the stage to find Hunter already there waiting for the Ceremony to start, the Alpha always does the Joining and Luna Ceremony's. The elders do the Mating Ceremony as this is for the Alpha as well, or so my mother informed me in one of my many Luna lessons.

Oh yeah I've been having Luna lesson the last few weeks even with everything that has been going on lately, I was never allowed to skip out on any training or lessons. Hunter stands to greet me with a light kiss on my lips, Hunter looks at me nervously "Umm I was thinking we should probably tell everyone about you being marked..." he started but stopped as I opened my mouth to protest.

He held a hand up for me to listen so I shut my mouth but gave him a glare "Please hear me out, with our family and friends knowing it won't be long before it starts spreading around the pack. Also my scent is now all over you, it won't be long before everyone smells me on you." he finishes with an innocent shrug.

I know his right but I'm still not comfortable with it "Fine." I grumble with a small nod, before walking past him and filling a plate with food and grabbing a coffee from our refreshment table. Sitting down I place them on the small table next to me, Hunter bends down so we are eye level "Hope please I'm sorry, I know you find this uncomfortable. I can keep it a secret if you really want, it's a tradition for an Alpha to announce as soon as he has marked his Luna but I will change that for you." he says softly.

I look down knowing he is right, before looking him in the eyes "Hunter." I say softly placing my hand on his cheek "It really is fine, I'm being a bit of a hypocrite really. With what I said so you would let me go to that camp, and now I'm refusing to do something that makes me uncomfortable. That's really not fair to you, or the pack." I say looking him in the eyes with sincerity.

Hunter looks at me with the widest small and starts to give me a loving kiss, that slowly turns passionate us both forgetting we are on a stage in public. Well that is until someone on the stage clears their throat, we break apart and look up to see Blake standing in front of us.

Behind him our entire pack and all our soon to be pack members are looking at us with either love and happiness in their eyes, or knowing smirks on their faces. I look at Hunter with the worst blush I've ever had on my face and he is smirking as well, I glare at him but he just takes my lips in a quick passionate kiss before standing up and walking over to the mic.

The pack erupted into cheers and howls as Hunter holds his hand up to silence them all, he looks over everyone until they are seated again "Pack members, thank you all for being at this wonderful Joining Ceremony. Ladies, gentleman and children welcome to the Mountain Ridge Pack and thank you for asking to join our pack to help us become even stronger." Hunter starts looking around at everyone.

"Before we begin the Joining Ceremony I do have an announcement to make, my Luna and I completed the mating bond and will be organising a Mating and Luna Ceremony in one...." before Hunter could say any more the entire ball room erupted again and this time all Hunter could do was look over his shoulder at me with a chuckle and a smirk.

Hunter's POV

The Joining Ceremony was as boring as I warned Hope it would be, in fact I think at one point she fell asleep. Blake had to nudge her awake, she nearly fell off her chair. It was all over by five so we moved to the gardens, the sun was starting to go down and the garden had lights strung up all around that gave a magical glow to it.

The kids were all getting along and playing in the pool laughing and having fun, I have been watching Hope for a while now. She has been talking with our pack members and playing with the children, I can't remember the last time I had a smile on my face for this long.

Seeing Hope smiling and hearing her laugh are the two best things in my life ever, I could watch her for the rest of my life. I don't think I have ever loved anything more than I do Hope, not even Kane have I loved this much. She turns to me and the smile on her face is so pure and innocent it hurt to think about what almost become of her.

She walks over and drapes her arms around my neck as I wrap mine around her waist "Shall we head to bed, it looks like everyone is heading home now anyway." I say with lust in my eyes, from the way she shivers I know she can see it. She nods her head her eyes wide, so I scoop her up bridal style and run past pack members laughing and cheering.
