Chapter 25

Unknown Alpha's POV (WHILE HOPE IS STILL CAPTURED)

I get back to my office and head straight to the drinks cabinet goddess do I need a strong drink, I just down my second whiskey when my Beta, Gamma and Head Warrior walk through the door. They know I'm expecting them so they don't bother knocking, they all take a seat and look at me expectantly.

I sigh then turn to my Gamma and Warrior before asking "What do you both know?" my Beta answers before either have a chance "They know everything I do which I must admit isn't an awful lot." "Ok guys." I start before taking a deep breath and starting from the beginning "You guys remember when I challenged Gregory?" I ask them "Yeah man that was epic you fucked that weasel up good." chuckled my Gamma, "Haha yeah." I chuckled back.

"Anyway." I continued "Before I challenged him I found some stuff out about him and one of our childhood legends." I say to 3 very confused faces, "Ok so a few days before I challenged him I went to the Alpha with a recording of one of mine and Greg's conversations." before I can continue my Head Warrior interrupts. "Alpha sorry to butt in but do you still have the recording and if you do can we listen to it before you say anymore?" he asks with a bow of his head.

As he was speaking I was already taking the phone it is recorded on out of my secret compartment and putting it on the desk, they all look at it and then back at me with smirks on their face's waiting for me to play it to them.

I unlock the phone and open the video app I used and press play before putting it back on the desk where all 3 of them are leaning forward to get a better look at it, when the recording ends they all look up at me with shocked and confused expressions. "Hold up are you telling me that, that prick wanted to kidnap a baby from her parents and keep her until he could claim her?" my Beta asks.

I nod my head and reply "That's what he said to me and I don't think he planned on treating her like the princess she actually is." "Ok but what did the Alpha say?" asked my Gamma "I told him I was challenging Greg for his beta position and if I won he had tell me everything he knew, which to be fair is only a little more than I found out before going to the him anyway." I answered.

"But hang on why didn't the Alpha just kill him we don't tolerate abuse or kidnapping of kids and women?" asks the Warrior "He couldn't have this getting out he needed to protect the girl, are you trying to say that you would of done it differently?" I asked them all, they all shook their heads as they lowered them my Beta lifts his head and say's "But we also still don't know all the facts yet.".

"The Alpha agreed if I won the position he would tell me everything and if I didn't I'd be dead so he would keep an eye on Gregory and deal with him if he ever needed to." I told them. "Ok so you won the challenge and Greg was left for dead which he should be after what you did to him, hang on how the fuck did he survive?" my Beta says looking even more confused.

"I think he had help from someone maybe someone he had already included in his plan before me, that's what I'm thinking now anyway at the time I had no reason to believe that he went to anyone else before me and I don't think it was another pack member or someone would of disappeared around the same time and I think the first person reported missing after the challenge was nearly a year later." I said thinking.

"I think you're right he would have needed to get off pack lands as soon as he could, he would of known if we found him we would of had to kill him." my Beta was thinking out loud "So wait does that mean the challenge was never real?" asks my Gamma

"The challenge was, Greg was beginning to become unstable and I had been noticing it for a while before I went to the Alpha, I needed to make sure I had enough evidence to show him." I stated in a matter of fact tone. "Look we're getting of topic here the most important thing right now is what the Alpha told you after the fight any other questions can be asked after that." said my Beta to the other two. I take a breath and bring that memory to my mind it'll be easier to show them through mind link anyway.
