Chapter 38

Holt's POV

My mother hasn't stopped sobbing since we sat down on the couch, I have my arms wrapped around her as she sobs into my chest. My father is sitting on another couch with his head in his hands and poor Beta Blake is standing awkwardly in the door way, we all hear foot steps. Everyone but my mother looks in the direction they are coming from and they are getting louder meaning they are heading this way, I don't know how I am holding it together right now but if I don't get to see my sister soon I will really lose it.

Just as Shadow is about to freak out the two men who brought Hope here walk in, one of the men embrace Beta Blake who slaps him on the back "Well you definitely know how to make an entrance, care to introduce your friend?" Blake chuckles "Edward." I hear me dad whisper and look to the other one man. I had completely forgotten about him, he gives a small nod with a small smile on his face. Suddenly my mothers head whips up and she jumps out of her seat.

As she flings herself at Edward "You kept your promise Edward thank you, thank you for not returning without my daughter. Thank you so, so much." she wails as she throws her arms around his neck, I can tell he is uncomfortable because he keeps glancing at my father nervously. My father looks at him with grateful eyes, nodding his head mouthing 'Thank you.' to him.

His eyes catch mine as they widen in shock "Holt you have grown into a fine looking young man." he says with pride, I give him a curt nob "I had to be able to protect Hope when she came home, someone had to." I finish with a glare at my father, Edwards eyes briefly go to my father with concern before shifting back to mine "Would you like to see her?" he questions with a soft nod of encouragement, my eyes light up as I'm lost for words and all I can do is nod with tears in my eyes.

Edward lets out a sigh "There are conditions though...." he pauses waiting for me to agree, again I give him an eager nod "She is asleep so you must not wake her, her body is tried and she needs some rest. Summer will be going with you, nothing against you but she may feel better if she wakes and there is a woman in the room as well." he explains with a gentle tone "Why would she not feel comfortable with her twin brother?" I ask feeling Shadow getting annoyed.

Edward gulps "Do not lose it when I tell any of you this...." he says looking at my family "S, she has no memories of before she was taken, I can't explain anymore that's up to her. Y, you need to be delicate with her please Holt, she is easily spooked and she will kill you first and ask questions after." he explains nervously. My father shot out of his seat "What do you mean?" he questioned a gulping Edward.

Edward rubbed the back of his neck "Well I may of accidently attacked her...." he is cut off by a series of growls "Oh stop it all of you, she kicked his b**t and made him submit so quick I thought he was an Omega." the guy with Edward interrupted with a shrug, Edward started to chuckle but cut it off when he looked at our expressions.

"His not lying she kicked my arse, I managed to pin her for ten seconds if that." he said nervously. The guy with Edward clears his throat gaining everyone's attention "Look can we just get a move on, Alpha, Luna you are to follow Edward and Blake to my brothers office. Summer and Holt is it? You two follow me and I'll take you to Hope." Hunters brother finishes walking up to Summer and wrapping his arms around her waist nuzzling her neck.

Edward looks at Hunters brother "Kane don't be so disrespectful." he snaps to which Kane rolls his eyes then goes back to nuzzling his mate and rubbing her stomach. My mother wipes her face before turning to Edward and Blake "Please show me to the Alpha's office I would also like to see my daughter, and I get the feeling that's not going to happen until we have spoken to you and your brother?" she asks looking at Kane who nods in conformation. My mothers shoulders slump further as she sigh's "Then lets get this over with, Alpha?" she questions raising an eyebrow at my father.

Edward looks between them with a worried expression, but he has no idea how worried he really should be. I clear my throat before asking everyone "Shall we?" to which they all nod and we start heading to our destinations. As we are walking Kane and Summer are holding hands, making me long for my mate "So Kane? When Edward say's Hope doesn't remember what exactly does he mean, like she remembers me right?" I question hopeful, Kane shakes his head softly looking at the ground as he continues to walk.

I freeze on the spot "Y, you mean she really would kill me?" I question out loud "Look man she is fierce and feels the need to protect herself, just don't do anything threatening. Oh and don't touch her, if she touches you let her but she doesn't really feel comfortable with others touching her." he finishes with a sigh as he stops at a door. With his hand on the handle he takes a deep breath "You ready?" he asks before opening the door and walking into the room.

There laying in the middle of a massive bed with Alpha Hunter sat at her side holding her hand talking to her softly, Kane clears his throat and Hunters body stiffens "If anything happens to her Goddess help you both and Kane don't say a word I don't care if she is your mate, this is your Luna." he says to the three of us without turning to face us, he kisses Hopes hand before he places it on the bed "Holt, come here." he demands. If Hope wasn't here right now I would of snapped but she is more important, as I sit on her other side and take her hand "Good she matters more than your pride." Hunter says with a curt nod and I now understand what he was doing "Always." is the only word I say before my gaze falls to the sister I haven't seen for ten long years.

Hunter gets up letting go of Hopes other hand and she stirred a little so I tightened my grip on the hand I'm holding and that seems to relax her. Hunter went from looking concerned to satisfied that she was comfortable enough not to wake in my presence "Summer there are two guards outside, if anyone comes in this room and you haven't screamed for them them they do not have permeation to be in here." Hunter says to Summer as she nods in understanding.

Hunter throws one last glance at Hope "Take care of my Mate." he says to me still looking at her, he takes one more deep breath before turning and walking out the door with Kane following. My attention already on Hope I feel the bed dip and I know Summer is sitting on the other side of my sister "She looks just like you." she whispers softly. I glance at her quickly before returning my eyes to Hope "No I look just like her, she is the older and stronger one. I couldn't stop her from being kidnapped, I wasn't even strong enough to find her." I finish letting out a sob before bringing Hopes hand up to my lips.

Summer puts her hand on my shoulder "You were just a kid Holt, none of this is your fault or hers for that matter. She didn't pick this life, it was thrust upon her. You need to forget what you can't change, and focus on what you can." I look up meeting Summers eyes "Make new memories with her, just because she hasn't got her old ones. That doesn't mean you can't create new ones with her." she finishes with a soft smile. I look back at my sister "Kane is lucky to have you, I can see he agrees. I hope I have that with my mate, one day but right now Hope comes first." I say to her with conviction.
