Chapter 82

Hope's POV

As we got to our room Hunter spun me around, but when he looked at my face all the lust that was in his eyes fades and is now gone. He studies me for a few seconds "Little Mate, what is wrong?" he asks with a worried tone. I don't know what to say to him because to be honest I'm not sure yet, I know whatever it is it will involve Stephan. I look him in the eyes and sigh "I don't know yet something bad is going to happen, and I know it will involve Stephan I just don't know what it is yet." I say in one breath. Hunter thinks for a second "Who do you want to watch him?" he finally asks. I don't even have to think about it "Edward." I say firmly.

Hunter nods and brings me to his chest in a tight embrace that I really need, after a few minutes there is a knock at the door and I look at Hunter not sure who it could be. Hunter shrugs "Come in." I call out pulling away from Hunter slightly. Edward walks in with a worried expression "Is everything ok Princess? I sensed your feeling uneasy, and got the feeling that you would need to see me." he says as I stare at him flabbergasted. Hunter has the same expression as me "How?" I question in a whisper "I don't know it's just a feeling I got a few minutes before I came here." he explains with a shrug.

I look between him and Hunter but quickly realise that I do actually need to speak to Edward "Actually Edward there is something I wanted to discuss with you." I started but he interrupted "And I you." he said. I gave him a nod to indicate for him to speak first "Well I don't want to worry either of you, but Stephan is making me uncomfortable. I don't like the way he looks at either of you but mostly you Hope, it's like he is trying to figure out the best way to eat you." he says with a small growl.

I look at Hunter again before turning my gaze back to Edward "Funny you should say that because that was what I wanted to discuss as well, we feel the same and I don't think he is to be trusted or underestimated. I want you to have him in your sights the rest of the time he is here, I will make you invisible to him so he won't know anything. He does not know my full power yet, but he will. Edward I do not expect you to do this alone so pick someone you can trust, and split the shifts I will do the same to them." I finish explaining.

The whole time I was speaking Edward was nodding and agreeing to my plan "I think Blake will be the best choice to help me with this." Edward says after a few seconds. Hunter looks at me and nods telling me he agrees as well, Hunter must of linked him because not a few minutes later he was knocking on our door. We explained the plan to him and he completely agrees as well, it would appear more people than I thought were keeping an eye on Stephan and they didn't trust him either.

After I had both of their agreements Selene stepped forward and stood next to me in my body, she knew the chant I would need to hide the both of them from Stephan. Once it is done I explain that when they were keeping an eye on him they would be hidden from him, but when they were with Hunter or I they would be seen by him again. That way he had no reason to question why he hasn't seen our Beta around at all, Stephan doesn't know Edward so has no reason to worry about his whereabouts.

When Edward and Blake leave Hunter pulls me into his arms again and holds my head against his chest, we still needed to shower and prepare for dinner. As I'm about to pull away to go and shower Hunter stops me, he kisses my forehead "Why don't you contact the twins and check in on them, I'll make sure the showers on and hot when you come in." he said softly placing another kiss to my forehead. I sighed as he walked away into the bathroom and I walked over and sat down on our bed, first I checked things through the twins eyes and when I saw things were fine I contacted my mother.

After speaking with her and seeing the twins with my own eyes yet through my mothers I felt ten times better, don't get me wrong I still had a niggle but it was halved since I got Edward and Blake involved. I went and joined Hunter in the shower and we washed each other before getting out and getting ready for dinner, I was not looking forward to it to be honest I had a feeling this was going to be the start of whatever else was to come my way. As we headed down to the garden Hunter must have sensed or felt my anxiety, as he gave my hand a reassuring squeeze.

When we entered the garden most of our guests were already there and chatting amongst themselves, it was a BBQ so there was no set meal time. Everyone was either serving themselves or were already eating, I looked around and noticed Stephan staring at me again. Thankfully my father noticed as well and engaged him in conversation so his attention would no longer be on me, as I continue walking around greeting people Samantha approaches and I can't help but roll my eyes.

As she stopped in front of me she looked me up and down "You cheated in the challenges!" she sneered loud enough to get peoples attention. I didn't take my eyes off her "Please explain Samantha." I said with a sickly sweet tone and smile "You had someone with magic help you." she seethed. I was about to respond but a little voice came from my side stopping me from opening my mouth "You lady need to learn some manners, this is your future Queen how dare you shout at her." Yasmin said angrily to Samantha. Samantha scoffed "Run along you little b***h, no one...." before she can finish I had my hand wrapped around her throat in an iron grip, lifting her feet off the ground.

She struggled against my grip but nothing helped her, everyone was standing around speechless. I growled in her face "You finish that sentence and I snap your f*****g neck, I don't care who you are. I may not be YOUR Queen YET, but this is my pack and you are a guest here and you most certainly will not disrespect my pack members especially a child. Do. I. Make. Myself. Clear?" I finish with a growl. She try's to nod that she understands but my hand is restricting her movements, I open my hand letting her drop to the floor in a gasping heap. She looks up at me with venom in her expression, I match it with my own expression which is saying 'Try something b***h, see what happens.' she soon looks to the ground.

Once she gets her breath back she gets to her feet and looks around the garden at everyone looking at her with disgust, I may not be Queen yet but I get the impression the Council made their decision after the first challenge today. Well minus the one probable person who no doubt disagreed with them, she gets in my face and in a low growl she whispers "You will regret this, I promise." before she could pull away though I grabbed her around the back of her neck holding her in place as I whisper "Bring it b***h." back to her. I force her face away from me causing her to stumble backwards, before she turns on her heels and stomps off.

The rest of the evening was great after that and several Council and Pack members thanked me for getting rid of the trash so they could truly enjoy their evening, I noticed that not long after Samantha left Stephan was no where to be seen. I looked for Edward or Blake and noticed Blake in a corner laughing, he make's eye contact with me "Edward has first shift." he links me and I sigh knowing that wherever Stephan is I will know what he is up to. I go back to enjoying my own evening with my family and friends, this is the first BBQ we have had since the kidnapping.

Samantha's POV

As I stomp away from the garden I am fuming, how dare she treat me like that, first she gets the Alpha to the strongest pack. Now she is about to take my Crown, I know that it should be mine and not hers. I end up walking around for a while, but I get the impression I'm being followed. I look around but don't see anyone so I turn back to continue my walk, but as I do there is a body blocking my path. I look into the creatures eyes with disgust written all over my face, no doubt he could see the look I wasn't exactly hiding it. I try to barge past him with a scoff only for him to block my path again "What the fuck do you want?" I ask stepping back.

He regards me for a few minutes in silence and I lose patients with him "Well, if you have nothing to say get out of my fucking way NOW!" I finish with a growl. He smirks at me and it just irritates me more, therefore making me want to rip his heart out and then burn him. He still isn't saying anything but he is watching me with his head cocked to the side, I am about ready to lunge at him but before I do he chuckles fucking chuckles "WHAT'S SO FUCKING FUNNY?" I growl now at the point of losing control over my wolf. He finally opens his mouth "I think we can help each other out." he say's smoothly making bile rise in my throat.

I look him up and down "Ok and how do you suggest we do it?" I question suspiciously. He looks at me and burst out laughing "Isn't it obvious?" he asks "Well clearly not." I growl at him again, he laughs again only this time it is really sinister and I shiver involuntary he smiles a sinister grin looking me in the eyes before saying "We go after the child.".
