Chapter 85

Hunter's POV

I woke up with Hope wrapped in my arms, her head on my chest and a small smile on her lips. I could lay like this forever with her, but I know I need to inform the pack of the decisions made yesterday. I gentle wake Hope up and as her eyes open her smile grows, we both get ready and head down to breakfast. Hope can tell I'm nervous because she keeps giving my hand gentle reassuring squeeze's, I'm so grateful the Moon Goddess paired me with Hope before her soul became Hope's.

I keep forgetting my mate is the reincarnation of the Moon Goddess herself, and I know when the time comes she will have to leave to fulfil her destiny. I just hope that I am allowed to stay with her, I don't care what happens the only thing that will separate us is death itself.

After breakfast I link the pack to meet in the ball room as we have an announcement, when we get there everyone is already waiting. Hope and I head up onto the stage and stand in front of the crowd, Hope give's my hand another squeeze as I take a deep breath "Mountain Ridge pack, thank you for meeting here on such short notice but this announcement couldn't wait. As you are aware we have been in meetings with the supernatural council, they have declared Hope the Alpha Queen from the prophecy...." I trail off letting that sink in.

There are murmurs from the pack as I take another breath "We are heading to Snow Peak pack tomorrow for an ceremony that will announce Hope as the Crown Princess, after the announcement work will start on the new Palace and Kingdom.

We will be looking for pack members and members of our royal court, and in no longer than a year Hope will be crowned. Her coronation will take place as soon as the building work is complete, and we have selected both the pack and royal court...." before I can continue someone in the crowd calls out "What about our pack?" I knew this was coming.

There is more murmuring within the pack, I put my hand up to silence the crowd and Hope gives my hand another reassuring squeeze. I take a breath once everyone was quiet again "I have thought about this and have decided to hand the Alpha position over to my Brother Kane, any members wanting to challenge him are welcome to when the time comes." I take a breath.

"Those of you who would like to join the royal pack, you are more than welcome but of course if you wish to stay that is fine. For now I remain Alpha, I will be stepping down a few days before Hope's coronation ceremony. We will be holding that when everything else is ready, so the challenge will be a week before that but you will all know closer to the time" I stop to let all that information settle.

Hope steps up beside me "Anyone wanting to challenge Kane please come and see us, we will make a list and you will all be the first to know when we have the dates finalised" she called out to everyone, the whole pack bowed their head to her. I could see the blush creeping up her face from the corner of my eye "You are all free to leave and continue with your day, any challengers please join us up on the stage" she finished. Everyone started to leave and I could see a few hesitant warriors, they were deciding if they wanted to become Alpha and risk dying in the challenge.

Hope watched them like I did, but as the room got emptier no one came forward. I wasn't surprised Kane had trained with these warriors, they all knew his strength. They knew it would take a lot for Kane to be beat, now his mated to Summer he is even stronger. Some wolves believe that true mates are a weakness not a strength, but they are wrong mates give you something to fight for something to come home to. If anything they make you fight harder and more vicious, a mates death is a weakness but when your mate is the reincarnation on the Moon Goddess you tend to worry a little less.

Hope's POV

The pack meeting went better than expected, I am surprised no one wanted to challenge Kane although if I were a normal wolf I don't think I would want to either. The rest of the day was filled with Hunter and I working, getting everything ready for our trip to Snow Peak.

It will be the first time I have been there in nearly eleven years since the night I was kidnapped, don't get me wrong I remember the place now Selene has given me my memories back but I'm fucking nervous as h**l. I get an early night and am asleep before Hunter comes to bed which is unusual for us, I wake in the middle of the night to him pulling my back into his chest.

The next morning is madness making sure everything is handled, Blake and Edward are taking over while we're gone but there's only so much they can do. Holt offered to stay and help but he was needed at the announcement, as he is my Brother he has to be there with the rest of my family.

Thankfully as this is just the Crown Princess announcement Kane and Summer don't have to be there as Hunters family, so they are going to keep the kids out of the way. Once the car is packed and we have checked Blake and Edward are ok we head off to the airport with my father and brother, I thought I was nervous going back to my early years pack but getting on a plane is scaring me so much more.

I have never flown before so I am shitting myself, I would of preferred to drive but that would of taken too long so they talked me into flying. Now I was regretting that decision as I stood staring at the plane, Hunter wrapped his arms around my waist pulling my back into his chest "No need to be scared little mate, I will be with you the whole journey" he whispers into my ear as he starts taking steps towards the plane, forcing me to walk along in front of him.

Before I have a chance to respond we are half way up the stairs, Holt is standing in the doorway smirking until he sees my fear. He gives me a gentle smile "It's not as bad as it looks I promise, and it's a private jet so there will only be us on it ok." he says softly taking my hands and helping Hunter to get me into the thing.

As I step through the door I must say I am surprised, the interior was beautiful creams and warm browns being the main colour schemes. There were women in uniforms as soon as they saw me their faces dropped, but when Hunter stepped in their smiles grew again causing me to growl at them. They all look at there feet I turn to Hunter "I want them gone" I say through gritted teeth. He looked at the women "Well you heard not only your Luna but your Queen as well, OFF" he finished with a growl. The women hurried to get off the plane, Holt turned to me "Really Hope?" he questioned with a raised brow.

I look at him disappointed "You have a mate, my best friend." I say before shaking my head at him and storming past him to a seat in the back. I heard Hunter mumble "Idiot" as he passed my brother who now looked down a little ashamed. We were waiting for more flight attendants when two men climbed aboard, they looked at the men and then at me and just like the women their expressions changed. I was uncomfortable "Nope, they can go as well" I said waving my hand dismissively at them. They stood there for a second with a shocked expression "Well you heard her" Hunter growled in warning causing them to leave as well.

This time my father asks "And what was wrong with them?" I look at him with a frown "You may think I'm being a child but they were making me feel uncomfortable, and why would I remove sluts lusting after Hunter but not dicks lusting after me that doesn't seem fair" I finish with a shrug. All three of them laugh out loud "An answer for everything" my father says shaking his head.

"How did I get so lucky?" Hunter chuckled "Smart a**e" Holt muttered. I was just being honest so I shrugged and waited to take off, no other cabin crew turned up so we had to serve ourselves. Like that was hard though, opening a fridge on a plane needed a professional. I rolled my eyes at the thought, after take off I was aloud to get up and look around.
