Chapter 35

Holts POV (BACK TO PRESENT TIME)

I woke up this morning and couldn't help but feel excited, I have no idea why but Shadow is leaping around in my mind. As the day goes on the feeling intensifies and Shadow can't sit still "Hey dude what the hell is wrong with you?" I ask getting annoyed with him. He pause's for a moment "I have absolutely no idea all I know is I've got this excited feeling and I can't sit still, what time is it?" he asks jumping around again.

I huff looking at the clock "It's noon, why?" I tell him, he is now running circles "I don't know but I feel you should go shower quick and then go eat." he yips happily. I stop for a second "WHAT AREN'T YOU TELLING ME?" I growl at him "I, I, I honestly don't know it's just a feeling that's what we need to do." he almost whimpers.

I huff again and cut off our link but still do as he says it's twelve thirty when I get down for lunch, my mother and father are already seated at the table along with Alpha Hunter, his Beta, and a young woman I haven't seen before "My apologies am I late?" I ask sitting down with my parents.

Alpha Hunter looks up "No you're fine lunch is served at twelve thirty, Holt this is Summer my brothers mate." Hunter says waving a hand towards the young woman "Summer this is future Alpha Holt of Snow Peak pack." he introduces, I give her a polite smile and a small nod. We are enjoying lunch and chatting when I get this overwhelming feeling of completeness, I haven't felt like that in years and from the look on Hunters face something is up with him as well.

Hope's POV

We run until around noon, to the boys credit we only stop at a stream once for a quick drink before continuing. Kane looks like he is slowing down "Hey Kane need a rest?" I ask through the link, he looks over his shoulder "No we're here, the boarder is just up there so you and Edward need to shift back." he said coming to a complete stop.

I cock my head at him and Edward growls liking the idea about as much as I do "Why do you want me and Edward to shift?" I question suspiciously. He shakes his head "If you and Edward are sat on my back I can keep everyone away from you." he say's through the link in a duh tone.

I look at Edward and link him privately "What do you think?" he looks at Kane "I don't like it, I would prefer to remain in wolf form until we see the Alpha." he explains I look at Kane "How about this you and Edward stay in wolf form and I shift back, I ride on Edward and you will walk beside him shoulder to shoulder." I'm not really asking because that is how I feel comfortable doing it. Edward looks at me and then Kane "I'm happy with that if you are?" he asks c**king his head to the side. Kane huffs in defeat "Lets face it she wasn't really asking was she." he says with a chuckle.

I'm on Edwards back and Kane is shoulder to shoulder with us as agreed, we passed over the boarders and a few worrier's stop us. As soon as they realise it's Kane, they let us through with a promise not to tell their Alpha who was coming but that someone was. We got closer to the pack house and I get this really weird feeling, it was like I was complete in every single way possible and it just kept growing. The pack house came into view and there was a crowd formed outside on the steps.

Alpha Hunter's POV

We were eating lunch having a nice conversation when one of my patrol linked me "Alpha we have three visitors heading you're way they are of no threat and will be at the pack house in about three minutes." he informed before cutting the link, I was about to open it when Heath started going crazy in my head "What is it you stupid mutt?" I groan at him to which he sniggers "I'm not telling you now, just go out front and see for yourself stupid human." he finishes before also cutting our link. I get up from my seat "Please excuse me it would appear something is happening outside and I need to attend to it." I explain.

Holt's POV

Not long into lunch something starts to happen "WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING YOU FOOL?" I shout at Shadow who is now practically doing flips through my mind "We need to go outside now Holt, I'm telling you get the hell up and go out front." he say's excitedly, just as I'm about to excuse myself Hunter stands from the table "Please excuse me it would appear something is happening outside and I need to attend to it." he explains but before he can turn to leave I jump up as well "Please may I join you my wolf is driving me crazy telling me I need to be out front now?" I question.

Hunter cocks his head regarding me for a second but before he can respond my mother jumps up "I need to join you as well, I can't explain why but please Alpha allow us to follow you?" she asks him with pleading eyes. I haven't seen a sparkle in my mothers eyes since the day we lost Hope, right now however there is something in her eyes. Hunter looks at her and his gaze softens "Of course Luna, please follow me." he says and turns to leave.

We follow behind him to the front door and that's when I notice Beta Blake, Summer and my father are all following as well. As we step out of the front door there is a commotion outside and everyone seems to be running to the pack house to get a look at whoever is here, I look ahead to see two wolfs shoulder to shoulder growling softly in warning at everyone not to get to close. Then I see her she looks young maybe my age, her hair is as white as snow and her eyes are such a dark blue they look almost black as well.

These wolves are obviously protective of this female and I can feel myself feeling the same way, as they get nearer I get a better look at them and one of the wolves looks familiar. I don't know where I've seen him but I have seen him before, they get closer and I realise that the wolf I recognise is Edward the guard sent after Hope. Just as that realisation hits me I here an almighty growl "MINE".
