The first day of classes. A second year business student by the name of Sinn was getting dressed in his uniform, thankful that it covered all of the bruises and marks on his body. He looked into the mirror and felt nothing, just like every other day.

His apartment was close to the school, so he decided he would walk more than drive. He would still have time to text his mom and make sure his brother went to class on time.

He must’ve been unfocused, because he bumped into someone in the corridor outside. “Oh I’m sorry!” The boy picked up the books for him. “Here you go!” Sinn was too much in a hurry to talk.

He walked away without saying a word. It’s how he treated everyone. The farther away he was from people the better. He found a spot to stop and text his mother, one of the only two people he talked to.

Once he received a text back, he made his way to the doorway of a classroom and watched his stepbrother sit down inside. He would have to do this all day so Dee wouldn’t get in trouble. If Dee was in trouble, it meant trouble for Sinn, too.

More first years entered, and one bumped into him. He recognized the shoes and glanced up. It was the boy who ran into him just a bit ago. The boy put his hands together. “I’m sorry.” Again, Sinn didn’t say anything, just walked away to his own class.

Chan was new to Bangkok, but he was excited for his new adventure. His father got a new job so that they could be able to afford to move for Chan to start college. He could’ve stayed in Chiang Mai, but they both wanted a fresh start and to be closer to his late mother's family.

They didn’t move into the fanciest neighborhood, but it was just as good as the one back home. Chan even received a scholarship for joining the soccer team, and his own dorm was paid for, too.

He was far from home, but he was ready to start the next chapter in his life.

On the first day of classes, Chan only drank coffee for breakfast. He wanted to be early to meet up with his cousin, Sook. Chan and Sook’s mothers were sisters. After Chan’s mother passed, Sook's family moved to Bangkok. Him and Sook kept in touch like nothing had changed after separating. When Chan and his father moved to Bangkok, his aunt and uncle helped them.

Chan was just thankful to have someone he knew at college. It wasn’t hard for him to make new friends, but the college was bigger and scarier to him than the high school he attended.

He spotted Sook in the courtyard sitting at a picnic table, so he rushed over. Along the way, he accidentally bumped into someone, making the person drop his books.

“Oh, I’m sorry!” He knelt down and picked them up, giving them back to the tall guy. “Here you go.” Chan’s first impression was that the stranger was rebellious or naughty. He had a blank but handsome face, his hair was dark and covered his face, earrings of all sorts, and wearing knuckle rings. The guy didn’t say a word, let alone even looked at Chan. He just walked off with his things. “This is going to be a fun year…”
