Between Nik, Brayden, Reese, Liam, and me, we prepared different baked goods with apples to get ready for the apple festival. During the summer, we have a cherry festival, while the fall has an apple festival with a carnival, attractions, music, and food. People drive to Michigan for this exact reason.

The carnival arrived and set up in an open area of campus. Local restaurants and businesses extended their hours to accommodate the public so that they could shop and eat.

On the days of Reese's volleyball games, I sat in the bleachers to support her. Then we had our classes, too. Our schedule became jam-packed with everything. It didn't matter because we spent time together.

Nik called in reinforcement with his family to help out at the bakery so we could enjoy the festival. He figured we deserved to have fun since we busted our asses getting ready for the apple festival.

My brothers, the girls, Casper, Hayes, and I headed to the carnival to ride the rides, gorge on junk food, and kick back and relax. We stood in line to buy bracelets for the rides. When Reese and I reached the window, we argued about who was paying.

I tried to pay for our brackets, but Reese handed the guy money and snatched them from his hand before I got a chance. "Hold up. What do you think you're doing?"

"I'm paying." Reese shrugged.

"Yeah, I don't think so." I turned to the guy. "Give her back her money. I got this."

Reese turned to the guy. "Don't you dare give me back my money."

The guy moved his head between us, trying to speak.

"Give her her money." I held up two twenties in my hand.

Reese looked at me. "Put your money away, Harper."

"Excuse me?"

"You heard me."

"I'm sorry, but I'm not taking orders from you."

"Too late." Reese shrugged and walked away.

Romeo snatched the twenties out of my hand and handed them to the guy. "Here. Give me two bracelets."

I narrowed my eyes at Romeo.

Romeo smirked at me. "Payback for being a schmuck."

I shook my head and walked away before making Romeo eat grass and running after Reese. I caught up with her as she stood in line for a ride.

She handed me a bracelet, and I snapped it on reluctantly. "Now that wasn't so bad, was it?" Her lips curved into a smirk.

I slid my arm around her waist and yanked her to me. "We'll see how confident you are when I have you alone."

Reese's cheeks turned crimson as I smirked and quirked my brow. I pressed my body against hers as I waited in line for the ride.

Kyler and I stopped at the bakery as Jordin, Roman, and Ryden headed to the festival. Liam glanced up as his jaw dropped open. We strolled towards the counter as Nik and Brayden greeted us.

"Hey, Odin! What brings you to town?" Nik asked.

"Dad wanted me to pick up some scrumptious apple goodies for him and check on little brother," I said, glancing at Liam.

"We'll gather a box of goodies to send back with you. Have you gone to the carnival yet?"

"Not yet, but we're heading there after visiting with little brother." I held my gaze on Liam as Liam stared at me.
