Can
Lazily leaning against the bar counter I see from afar that guy Fabri grabbing her arm to hold her back while she seemed clearly intent on leaving.
In a moment I lose my mind, a single word comes to my mind as I move decisively towards them.
Mine.
It's irrational I know, but ever since I held her in my arms in the dark of that theatre and kissed her, I feel that somehow she belongs to me.
I know she's engaged to someone else and can probably never be mine, but my heart won't get over it, doesn't understand that she should give up.
It's with these thoughts buzzing furiously through my mind that I reach out in a few strides and grab her hand.
She turns to me in surprise, seeking my gaze as I nod to her to follow me.
She remains motionless for interminable moments in which I think she wants to rebel against my request, but then I feel her give in to my grip that wants to take her away as soon as possible from that place and from that man who has no right to touch her.
We turn our backs on Fabri, on our colleagues, on that insulting party and on the business agreements that are the last thing on my mind at the moment.
Mine was a sudden decision, taken without thinking, on a wave of jealousy for a woman over whom I have no right.
I could not have known at that moment that that very decision would change the course of my life forever.
Of our lives.

Sanem
In all fairy tales, in the dark forest...
There is a voice that whispers and calls us towards danger.
The evil king, with all his charm, drags us into these dangerous adventures.
As soon as they enter the forest, the princesses go to the evil kings, knowing that their hearts will be destroyed.
And where am I in this fairy tale?
Will I accept what I am destined for?
Or will I go, dragged away by an evil king who will destroy my heart?

Can
I drag her towards the entrance of the estate and ask the valet to bring my car then stop and turn to her.
"That man can't touch you like that, he can't look at you like that. He can't bother you."
Sanem looks at me with those huge hazel eyes of hers which, from the first moment they met mine, have been able to capture me and never let me go.
"But nothing happened Can bey. I mean... we just talked. Besides, he hasn't signed the agreement with Mr. Fabri yet!"
My anger grows at the mere mention of that man's name.
"Forget about it. Forget about the agreement. It's not more important than you!"
What am I saying? I immediately correct myself.
"Meaning it's not more important than my employees. I mean... it doesn't just apply to you."
I have exposed myself too much, I try with this sentence to make up for it and not let her know how special she is to me.
"Are you coming?"

Sanem
"Are you coming?"
I lower my gaze on the hand that Can is extending towards me as a sign of invitation and then I go back to look into his eyes, attracted by that way of doing so confident, charismatic.
It's stronger than me, I know I should, but there's no way I can stay away from him. I place my hand on his, it feels so tiny in his strong grip. He nods and smiles as he gallantly helps me into his car and then gets behind the wheel and drives off.
In silence we leave the estate where the party was being held and turn onto the highway leading out of town.
"Where are we going Can bay?"
"To my studio. I need to work on your pictures. But first, are you hungry?"
I can't deny it, my appetite seems to go unbridled when I'm with him.
"Yes, I'm very hungry!"
I exclaim with conviction and he laughs, laughs at me with that smile that makes him even more charming.
He looks away from the road to look at me for a moment.
"Shall we go then?"
"Let's go."
It was a sudden decision, taken without thinking.
I couldn't have known at that moment that that very decision would change the course of my life forever.
Of our lives.
