I mean...Kit does a lot of panicking, but it's humorous panicking? Except for the bit right after Honey mentions the choker. I also describe him tripping on cement, but I don't think it's in too great detail?
Kit sat down at his usual table in the Cafeteria. It was breakfast and he was quite enjoying the chocolate chip pancakes Ange had made. Everything she made was good, though. There was a clinking sound, and he looked up to see Honey taking the seat next to him. Her plate was piled at least as high as Kit's, if not higher. "You got back late last night," Honey remarked as she began cutting a bite of her pancake.
Kit shrugged in agreement with her statement before saying aloud, "You eat too daintily, just stuff the whole thing in your mouth!" Kit instructed his friend. He then proved the superiority of his eating method by stuffing half a pancake in his mouth. I...should not...have done that, he thought as he choked.
"That was only half," Honey smirked. Kit ignored her, instead relishing the water that was clearing the pancake out of his mouth. He slammed his empty water glass on the table and gasped for breath.
Another metal tray clinked down on the wooden table. Kit looked up, expecting to see Sasha or maybe Rickson sitting across from him. Instead it was "Hey Free. Don't you normally eat outside?" Kit asked his mentor.
"It's raining. I don't want to get my water in my milk" Free said simply, taking a bite of his cereal. Kit looked out one of the windows on the back wall. Indeed it was raining, cats and dogs for that matter. As he looked at the gray sky, Kit wondered if today's plans for outdoor training would be canceled.
"I hope this storm doesn't affect Valt's flight home," Honey worried.
"Valt's not flying back today. He called last night. Apparently he slipped and got hurt, even banged his head," Free paused there, probably taking in the shocked faces of the younger bladers. "Don't worry, he told me he'll be fine. But, Valt said he was gonna stay with Shu until he healed up a little."
"Oh...," Honey said quietly, trailing off a bit. Free however, Kit noticed, seemed pretty chill. Maybe Valt's injuries weren't as bad as that description had made them seem. Then again, who knows what Free was really thinking. The guy was always chill, to the point he seemed bored 24/7.
"Where'd you get the choker?" Honey asked after a few moments of silence.
Kit froze and his hands went to his throat. Resting around his neck was what had to be the choker from Hikaru. But...that had been a dream. Right? Right? I doubt it, Air Knight told him.
"You O.K.?" Honey asked.
Kit shook his head. You're not going to panic like last night, Kit, he told himself. Still, he was starting to panic a bit. "I-I'm going to the library!" Kit shouted and ran out, with a pancake in his hand. He ignored Ange's cry of "sit back down to finish your breakfast!" just because he needed some air doesn't mean that he didn't want to eat a pancake.
Laban Vanoe stepped out of the rift in Space-Time, happy to feel the fresh air of Earth on his face. It was so much better than the void of Pocket, the name of the pocket dimension that he would use to travel sometimes. Like when the last text he gets from Hikaru, at the most ABOMINABLE hour, says: Hey, the new guy's in Spain. See ya'll round. And then, of course, the fortune teller gets sent to Spain in the morning.
Well, Laban had been tasked with his most important task since that time all of them had taken down some kind of giant gray dragon thing. She'd turned out to be just a traveler from another dimension. NOT an invader bent on universal conquest.
