Kit was fairly certain that everything since he'd met Hikaru had been one long dream. Sure the thought had crossed his head a couple of times, but he'd dismissed it. Everything that was going on had seemed so absurd, and kept going on for so long, he'd thought it had to be real. Like the old adage "I can't make this stuff up". However, apparently, it could get weirder. Kit still wasn't sure what the strangest thing to come out of this conversation was yet. It was probably a tie between learning that Zac could wiggle his nose and, you know, literally the entire universe was alive. At least that was what he'd taken out of the whole experience.

There were these super powered light and dark creatures. Kit had already known that from the history lessons Ilya insisted on giving him that he didn't really pay attention to because how in the Multiverse was it going to impact his life that some guy named Mind had existed? Apparently a lot. Apparently that Mind guy was Valt. And apparently Kit's mentor was only a part of the force that he represented.

Also, Valt may or may not know that. No one could fully come to a consensus as to whether or not he would remember what he seemed to have realized at the airport once he woke up. Zac and Venice, or, rather, Song and Spirit seemed to think he would. Ilya, Pheng, and some other people seemed to think he wouldn't. Laban was yelling at his magic rocks to make sense. Kit was too frazzled to form an opinion.

"All I'm saying is that we shouldn't keep them in the dark!" Venice exclaimed, struggling to make his voice heard among all of the arguing. That statement earned a glare from all of the shadows in the room, as well as Pheng and Laban. Both of whom Kit had learned were connected, in one way or another, to the darker side of things. "Ahem, no offense."

For some reason, this caused everyone to laugh, and Kit attempted to join in. Although, he had to admit, his laugh sounded more like a sleep deprived groan than a laugh. He didn't exactly get a chance to sleep along with the rest of BC Sol, which might be accounting for how frazzled he felt and how little sense life was making.

Or life just made no sense. It was probably that.

Kit watched as Ilya sighed and took off her helmet. "You and I both know that we try to leave them out of all of this," She said, staring Venice in the eyes. Even though she was facing away from him, Kit could imagine the expression of the Five's leader's face. Determined, with her eyebrows glaring down at Venice. She would not be taking no for an answer on this particular subject.

The man formerly known as Azure Eye rubbed the back of his head. It was a motion utterly similar to Valt, they really were brothers of a sort. "Listen! I know that they've fixed this mess as much as it's gonna be fixed without killing Cold, but you do understand that they are in more danger not knowing who they are and why some weird ice woman is after them, than they are knowing about her?" Venice eyes were fierce and gleaming. He really did want to keep Valt and Shu safe, and Kit was pretty sure he also didn't think it was right to keep things from the two lovers.

Which brought Kit to an interesting thought. Shu and Valt liked each other. Not that that really came as a surprise, but it was nice to finally have a definitive answer to the question. He nearly smiled at the thought of how excited everyone on BC Sol would be when they finally started dating. However, this was clearly not the time to be zoning out and thinking about this, as some sharp words from Ilya reminded him.

"And we've had this conversation thousands of times! And that's barely hyperbole! You know as well as I do what I'm going to say!" Ilya growled. She'd stepped forward and straightened up. Venice might stand a decimeter (about a couple of inches) or so above her, but she was by far the more intimidating figure. It was made clear to Kit in that instant that the leader of The Five didn't just lead his team, but was a figure of command for this group as well. The one made up of a bunch of sentient fundamental forces of the universe. Which was never not going to be a weird sentence to think.
