Mind felt his knees give out underneath him. He stumbled backwards to the wall, sliding down it as he gave up trying to stand. He heaved in the air, he hadn't realized he'd been holding his breath. Mind's knees pressed against his head and he just sat there for a moment, processing what had just happened.

Mind had told Cold no. The simple fact that that had happened was enough to make that conversation stand out from all others. Then Dark showed up? That was even crazier. Combine that with the fact that he felt a bit guilty about standing up to Cold, but also really, really happy, and Mind didn't know what to do with himself.

Two people could be heard talking in the background of Mind's thoughts. Most likely Blood and Form, but he couldn't summon the energy to eavesdrop on them. Either through his ears or with his abilities. He just wanted to sit here for a little bit.

"Universe to Mind!" Mind faintly heard Form shouting at him. He didn't want to deal with this right now. He just wanted to think about something fun. He'd never tried that before, but maybe it would help? Unless forcing your problems and negative thoughts away was unhealthy in the long run. Actually, thinking that sentence made Mind realize that it was most certainly unhealthy, if his luck was anything to show.

"MIND!" Blood shouted, finally causing Mind to snap his head up and look at his roommate. The look on Blood's face made him realize that he maybe should have answered his friend's calls sooner. The other Shadow seemed a bit concerned. Also mad, but more concerned.

"Hi," Mind whispered weakly, unsure as to why his voice was cracking. "What's up?"

A gasp of air escaped Mind's mouth as Blood knelt down and hugged him tightly. He was even more surprised when Form, who he didn't know as well, hugged him too. He found himself smiling. This was nice, but, as grateful as he was to Blood and Form, he missed someone.

Mind kind of wished Fire was here to comfort him as well. Which was such a strange thought to have in the grand scheme of things. After all, Fire and Mind were on opposite sides of life. Even for them to be friends, well it was a bit of an unheard of idea. However, it made Mind smile to think about being in Fire's arms. The Sun would be warm, and sweet, and, what had Mind been worrying about again?

"Can we still talk?" Blood requested, tearing Mind out of his almost-fantasy. The mind-reading shadow wasn't exactly jumping for joy about that either. He had enjoyed thinking about Fire.

That being said, what Blood wanted to talk about was probably a bit more important than Mind smiling to himself about Fire. Although, Mind had been experimenting with staying true to his feelings. Only, he had to admit it would be lying to himself if he said that thinking about a Sun was more pressing than talking about what had just happened.

Yeah, we probably should, Mind admitted. Blood and Form stood up to give him some room to get up. Mind breathed, and jumped up onto his hooves. He was still shaky, but at least he could stand. Looking up, he saw that Blood and Form had already gone inside Mind's room. Probably a good idea. This might not be the best conversation to have in the hallway where anyone could hear.

In just a few steps, Mind crossed the span of the hallway. He walked through his open door, to see Form sitting down on Blood's bed. While the one who actually used the bed was leaning against the wall. Mind sighed and closed the door behind him. There was a subtle click as it locked shut, keeping everyone else out.

Mind swallowed hard as he looked into his friends' dark eyes. He was fairly certain that he hadn't done anything wrong, but the atmosphere was still very tense. Not one of the three of them were smiling, all of their mouths were drawn into a straight line.
