I am well aware that Payne is probably going to be different here than in cannon. This is your warning. Also, please don't give me spoilers about him. Thank you.

     Bel collapsed onto the hotel bed. It was so soft and so fluffy. You could just sink into the mattress and be consumed. Bel wouldn't actually mind that right now. He always forgot how tired travel made him. Not to mention that he'd gone from the muggy jungle of Mexico to a city a mile in the air. Which was quite an adjustment.

     Bel felt one of his ears turn to the sound of someone else flopping onto one of the 2 remaining beds in the room. He tried to figure out who it was, but failed in the end, giving into the fact that he'd been up for the past 15 hours. In other words, he passed out, dead asleep.

     It wasn't the sunlight that woke Bel up. No, it was someone jumping on him. JUMPING ON HIM. Who in their right mind jumps on someone to wake them up? "OOF!" Bel shouted as he got pressed into the bed. Bel heard the sound of someone chuckling as he opened his eyes to the ceiling. "oooh...," he grumbled.

     Bel pushed himself up slightly to see who had jumped on him. The answer? Hanna. She was splayed out across his chest. Her legs and outstretched arms were hanging off opposite sides of Bel's bed, and she had a big grin on her face. The chuckling was coming from her.

     "BASHARA COME GET YOUR SISTER!" Bel hollered out.

     Bashara walked in through the door that connected Bel's family's hotel room, with Den, Bashara, and the mongrel's. "Um...," Bashara muttered as he took in the scene. "Hanna get off him?" Hanna rolled her eyes, but she hopped off of Bel, allowing him to sit up.

      "The Demon Prin-" Bel began.

     "No!" Bel heard Jamie's voice call from the bathroom.

     Bel rolled his eyes. "I thank you, Bashara."

    "What was that even for?" Bel grumbled at Hanna, still cross with her.

     Hanna shrugged her shoulders, and it was only then that Bel noticed both she and Bashara were dressed for the day. Though, they both were dressed for cold weather. Hanna in long gray pants and wearing her neon colored coat. While Bashara had put on white pants under his shorts. It couldn't be that freezing outside, could it? "Your sister said that it was the best way  to wake you up," Hanna explained, trying to look innocent.

     On cue, Jamie opened the door to the bathroom dressed in a cotton candy V-neck T-shirt and pants, one leg pink and the other light blue. "Jamie what did you tell Hanna?" Bel demanded an answer.

      Jamie grinned. "To do what she did. It's how our aunt and uncle always woke Dad up." Bel frowned and crossed his arms. Jamie laughed. "C'mon, get dressed. I want to have breakfast; And Father already took Greg and Den down to the lobby to eat."

* * *

      Bel sighed contently. He had just finished his plate. It had been piled high with waffles, bacon, eggs and fruit. In other words, all the best breakfast foods. Jamie had side-eyed him when he showed it to her, questioning if Bel would be able to eat it all. He had, and was more than charged with energy for the day.

      The sound of someone clapping drew Bel's attention. It was Father, ready to address the six kids he'd been charged with for three days. He actually didn't look so good. "Father, are you good?" Bel asked.

     Father smiled. "Yeah, I just didn't sleep too well last night. To cold up here for me," he paused, and surveyed the two tables everyone was sitting at. Apparently, they were all paying attention enough for his liking. "Okay, so, today you are allowed to explore the city in groups of three. Den, Jamie and Bel are one. Gabe, you're with Bashara and Hanna."
